Has the new game engine deliberately mixed up the shot selection and on-court rotation of the players?

I ask because in my game last night (2417792) I repeatedly saw my forwards and even my center throwing up three point attempts, despite playing base offense. As a result, my 3pt percentage was the worst it has been all season. This is particularly annoying since I've been training outside shooting for most of the season and until last night their 3pt percentage was showing steady improvement.

I'm aware that it might just be that last night I played a team with good defensive guards, but to see my PG going up for dunks while my center tried to find the hoop from outside was a little strange. If it's the effect of a good defense forcing my players out of position then it is excellently coded, but if it's not that then I'm annoyed by my players' poor rotational sense. When I play a team less good, can I expect to see my players shoot from more sensible positions for their skills?

They have started the new game engine, but you can read about it on the news.

Like this they say about the new game engine : Some of the changes in the game engine have not yet made it to the game viewer, which means that you might still see a few shot clock problems. That's one of our next development goals, but we've been focusing on the engine itself first.

Hope you understand me :)
