I have seen another thread about this topic, but I can't find it right now. What is the purpose of allowing a blank lineup to be used in a game? It completely messes up the training of the opposing player. Also when there is such great emphasis put on point differential (tie breaker), a 25-0 score is not nearly enough of a point differential.

There has to be something that discourages this foolishness. I realize someone will say, "Their attendance will be affected...." Yes all of us who actually put some thought and time into managing our teams know this, but it is the simpletons in this game that don't care and therefore need some other kind of penalty for setting a blank lineup. Why are those of us that put the time and money (for supporters) being punished by these blank lineups?

I think you are confusing the blank lineup (where the coach decides) with a lineup of no players that results in a forefit.

The problem is that if no lineup is entered then the game will use the default lineup that was saved at some time in the past. Sometimes that is a LONG time in the past and all of those players are long gone.

Personally, I don't know why everyone doesn't have a current default lineup. I find it much easier when setting my lineups for games. Most of the guys are in the right spots. I have to make a couple of tweaks for game shape, matchups and strategies. I have to rotate my trainees but most things are already as they should be.
