With two games remaining until the start off the postseason, the race is heating up. It's close, but anybody's season for the taking.

Round 1:
1The Boston Boss vs. 4Ciudad de Panamá Perros:
The Boston Boss's inside presense will create a huge problem for the Perros. Although the Perros defeated Boss earlier this season, I'm taking the Boston Boss.

2Da Vicks vs. 3Taino Indians:
Da Vicks are a structurally sound team in almost all aspects, so this win will not come as a challenge to them.

1Shippensburg Raiders vs. 4Bobcatz:
The Shippensburg Raiders are easily the best team in the league, and although the Bobcatz are a good inside scoring team, the Shippensburg Raiders have players who can shut them down, so I take the Raiders.

2Maine Claws vs. 3V Squad:
This is the only postseason upset in the first round that I'm taking. The Maine claws are a better team overrall, but still have the capacity to lose the game. The V Squad is good at finding hole in the defense, and creating holes in the opposing teams defense. I'm taking a close win for the V Squad over the Maine Claws.

Round 2:
1The Boston Boss vs. 2Da Vicks:
These teams have always been close in skills, so this could go anyway. Not to be bias, but I feel that this season the Boss have reallyprogressed this seasson, so I'm taking the Boss.

1Shippensburg Raiders vs. 3V Squad:
The Raiders have continued to prove that they can beat almost every team, so it's a clear pick for them in the finals.

Finals:
The Boston Boss vs. Shippensburg Raiders:
Raiders in two games. The Raiders are an overrall better team and their ability to stop the Boss's hot streaks helps them to be a defensive masterpiece. The probability is that both teams will promote no matter who wins!

It doesnt matter how good you technically are. It's just that your team matches up better than mine does when we play.

Well I haven't been active in a while, mostly because life has been hitting me pretty hard lately in a variety of ways. Anyhow, I see my team has been doing their best to take themselves not only out of any faint hopes of title contention, but out of the playoffs altogether. Hopefully the Game Engine recognizes this as nothing more than a psychological strategy to get the Raiders overconfident, so that we'll be able to unleash a devastating surprise victory.

In other Claws news...Pagan popped again in handling for back-to-back weeks, but in a way the most exciting news was a double skill drop for 39-year-old Darryl Nesbitt, hooray! I'm hoping to keep him until he's all atrocious or pretty close, in the hopes that some high-level team ((23424)?) will buy him for bragging rights.

Ahem. I know my team has been underachieving lately, but (A) I acquired a new SG/SF who I think could really help, even though Shippensburg will probably own me anyway, but (B) we still withstood a CT against TIE by Hustling Hawks to stay in the playoffs, even without Pagan, Belhadj, Caruso, or Montel. Not bad at all.

I wasn't trying to offend you or anything, I'm sorry if I did. If it makes you feel any better, I'm taking you against Bobitz.I think tht your new SG could really create some trouble. If you win that, then you could make an incredible comeback story. If you make it to the championship, and I'm there too, thats a game 3 OT. Thats how close it would be.

Not offended in the least. I'm saying this just looking at the W/L column, you can see how my team was right up there with you and Shippensburg, then for some reason they decided to stop playing and started losing. Then all of a sudden a team with once-elite status was in serious danger of missing the playoffs. It's nothing that you said.

I appreciate the vote of confidence in me vs. the Raiders. They're really good and have to be the favorites, but I hold out some hope because in our games this season I've played them close for 3 quarters or so before they pulled away. Technically those games should have been blowouts, but they weren't, so I'm still remaining optimistic. Hopefully Eini can help turn the tide, and hopefully now that Pagan has more than atrocious handling he won't get the ball stripped away from him 3 times in the fourth quarter like he did in our first game, lol. It should be a good game, especially for a #1 seed vs. #4 seed which you would usually expect to be an easy win for the #1 seed. Hopefully that won't be the case this week.

If we do win this, though, I'm resuming my case for Cedrick Pagan as the MVP (even though voting will almost certainly be out by that time with a decidedly different result). He will have been shafted. :P

That actually brings up an idea I have. We should all message Buzzerbeater about a rookie of the year award, for the top performing first year player.
