ok Im sick of all the misconception about me and Im coming out to say this since some people keep whispering behind my back and cant face me when I call them out.

the incident was that some people seem to think I have agree to a mutual tie with yoda and then went back on my words. I only keep silent cause I was in the fishbowl PL and my league captain the gentlesaur Koopa asked me to keep quiet until this is all blow over but it did not as people took my silence as admitance to guilt while the guilty party keep spewing venom.

fact: I have never agree to a mutual tie with yoda or even given any indication to yoda that I was going to tie. (if yoda says so, provide a BB mail cause it dont exist.)

1 Chelsea Seagulls 75 - 78 (Replay) 6 VictoriaMages

this was the game, as the D2.3 people in the game chat (which yoda was not in) keep suggesting that I should tie since I have no chance of winning since its my first season of promotion. I also hinted that I wanted the fan survey and its my home game so I dont want to tie. It is yoda's own greed that he Tie and hope to win even though it was an away game.

Fact: That game didnt not change the standing or the seed and yoda in fact did not promote that season which I thought was fair since Beechy is a way better team. and it is the best interest of the league and myself to let the best team promote again I will get it later. (yoda still got the Top seed)

After that game, people starting spreading rumours, especially (I dont want to name names) lets call him some moose, was the middle man keep saying I agree to Mutual tie and apparently he even send a letter to yoda even thought I did not ask him to and didnt even know it existed. so after this incident, he jump ship and place blame upon me as he may have potentially cause a team their top seed.

Fact: I got angry and send a rage letter to yoda which I have regretted as he is a great manager and has done a lot for the community so I shouldnt have insulted him. but the fact is that he got lucky and promtoted (with 5 old 10k veterans due to injuries and much easier confrence) out of the tough III.6 which set many teams like myself, home axis, goldfish etc. a season. In which i expressed he wasnt the best team anyways so he shouldnt have try to get greedy with the ethusiam. I was going to apologize after pondering after my actions but...

Not-a-fact-but-kinda-is: that season I was set to gain much more money in the 6th spot than 5th as my arena was larger and my roster was thin thus it was in the best interest of my team and another team, lets call him SS as his roster was a typical fringe playoff team thus with the new non-salary paid weeks if players arent getting paid system, he was better at 5th spot and I was better of at 6th spot. when he tried ridiculously hard to get the 6th spot, I told him the fact but he seem to be unaware of the new system thus call me a noob and told me to F off which I suspect some other manager had a hand in this as SS wasnt very active and maybe persuaded to follow a unbeneficial course of action.

There: I have said it, it out there since some manager cant face me like a man after defaming me as I try to solve the issue face to face as this is afterall a small tight knit internet community, it is better to have a nice + fun atmosphere.

take what you can from this but if im still the villian so be it since I dont think I lose out in knowledge to any game manager so new managers are always welcome to ask me for any game advices especially training advices I may be hotheaded and get into argument but I dont and have not done any underhanded moves unlike the "righteous" party with more pull.

hahah this is good!
From this post I got to see...

- the different personalities at play, whether it be passive or in your face, the personality shines thru.
- got to see teams using their relationships to their advantage (potilics).
- and last but not least a vibrant BB community.

Without this the aussie BB forums would be boring. Keep up the rivalry boys but don't cross the line or else a monkey will be on your back (GM-Monkeybiz, get it?). Oh nevermind.

Everyone knows I have not discussed this issue in public and I will stick with that stance but I will clarify one fact, the impact of this game. I will try to use only facts.

I just needed two wins in the last three games to secure HCA and the last game was easy.
I lost this game by 3 playing TIE.
That made the next game against the number two team a must win. I had to play my starters and spend enthusiasm to win.
I won but lost enthusiasm and game shape that week.

Opnion: Sid Vicious is a friend of mine even though I do love to stir him and I admit I have encouraged other people to do the same, but I think he likes the mind games.

Back to facts.
Semi Finals
Sid's team hopelessly addicted had something like a $750,000 roster while mine was more like $350,000. He won that game by 5. Would better game shape and higher enthusiasm be worth 5 points? That is obviously opinion. But hopelessly addicted went on to win the championship and went to the ABBL while I stayed in division II.

Was the stated aim of getting "the best manager" promoted achieved? That is also opinion.

fact: I never agreed to a mutual tie, If you wanted the win you could have normal me hence it is still the same as normaling moosa. I also hinted that I wanted the fan survey and all the D2 managers in the chat keep saying its best interest to throw the game which I do not like and I have never propose any Mutual tie or accepted one so far.

thus fact: Yoda needed to normal 1 of the 3 games to win the game. but unwilling to do so against me by looking down on me. Game shape was not a factor as Yoda was not training any young players and was going to play his starters regardless.

I never said the best manager, just the best team. Beechy had a way better team, it was 450k with adrain shortall? and sid vicious all-in like a crazy mad man with 750k. Smeltz with kylie smeltz.

I would actually like to discuss this one in a friendly way. I agree totally that I was incredibly lucky to get out of III.6 in my first season there.

However to win I had to beat in the QF the Melbourne Redbacks who were strong, in the SF the Melbourne Goldfish who were strong and the Victorian Allstars who on paper looked much stronger than me - it is so long ago that it is all a but fuzzy but I think they had multiple $20-30,000 players which was quite good back then while I think my biggest salary was indeed around $10,000. But I did have a belief back then in secondaries so I had things like centers with great OD and PA so for example I think my center was 4th in assists in the league but those things didn't show up in their salaries.

But to escape from that tough, tough league in my first season was incredible luck. They say it is better to be lucky than good!

A valiant effort.

Though II.1 forums are still more worthy of drama popcorn.

I agree, this thread doesn't come close to II.1.

i read the first few paragraphs thinking this was about you and yoda wearing the same tie to some kind of party and then I got distracted and kept wondering in this meeting I was in at work 'why the fudge would people give such a rats about two guys wearing the same tie to a party' (mutual tie anyone? ahhh sigh)

then i came back and read the rest and realised that, i probably need to sleep more, drink less and perhaps take up exercise or something.

in all seriousness though, its sad that you felt you had to come out and defend yourself like this. Its just a game though, so if people wanna get all cranky-pants and have a go at you, then thats their problem. dun let it affect your experience in the game and if you come out on top because of something that happens, then good for you i say.
