I just had my 33 yr old player pop in ID today, despite the fact that I was training FTs. I've always assumed that once they get to the point where their skills can decline they're unable to pop, so has anyone else seen this happen before? He's also never went down in ID (at least in the 3 seasons I've had him) so it couldn't have been a drop then pop.

Cross-training pop. I think those ain't affected by age.

trained one on one and a 33 year old PG popped in handling this season. he leveled down a month later :(

Does anyone know whether players about 33 yrs old will ALL start to decline or are there some players that will still keep their ratings until they are older...like 35/36 before dropping.

From what we've read in the forums, there appears to be some benefit by having a trainer with career extension. That is, perhaps there are fewer skill drops and those that occur may possibly come at a later date.

Of course it depends, the sublevels are very important there. The fact is that you may not see a decline, but the sublevels will be lowering.
