Hi guys, I just check the instructions about how to keep plays' game shape! But unfortunately, my guys are all in bad shape like inept or even worse! I know the time they played in games will affect their shapes, but how can I control?

And I will have a tough game with my emeny which is a little bit stronger than my team, his players are all in good shape like strong or proficient, maybe I will face a tough game two days later! So how can I keep my players all in good shape?

Thanks for helping!

Excellent question, there are a lot of people that do not care about game shape and I feel that good game shape is a great advantage over those that have poor game shape. Game shape can be a little tough to manage when you are still in the cup, but once you are eliminated it is very easy to get your players to strong-proficient gameshape.

First of all make sure that your players play between 55-75 minutes each week. Some will say 55 is too low, but you kind of have to experiment a little because some players have better game shape when they play more minutes and others less. As a general rule you don't want your players going over 80 minutes per week.

You currently have only 9 players and one is injured so if you are still in the cup or you have booked a scrimmage your players are going to have a lot more minutes than they should. I would suggest a roster of 11-13 players, that way you can play your best players for your league games and your scrubs for your scrimmage and then all your players will have a good amount of minutes.

Oh and make sure you manage your enthusiam too, that is another huge advantage especially come playoff time.

The post by Prof. Bricks is all correct, that's certainly the primary way to take care of your players' game shape. You can also hire a trainer with "fitness" specialty or a doctor with "massage" specialty that will help improve your team's gameshape as well.

notes, a fitness trainer only slows the reduction in stamina that every player undergoes constantly. It doesn't affect gameshape at all.

The massage doctor does help keep good gameshape for players with large amounts of minutes per week

Thank you dude! I will buy one more potential player in PG or SG, and next week I'm sure I will defeated by the team in higher league in next cup game, so I'm realesed in cup game

And also I think that will be possible for me to give 3 players enough time to play for more than 48 minutes per week in PG and SG position as these two positions are my training positions.

But how can I control the playing time during the game? By chossing the option of "letting couch decide by himself?" or just put players in different lineups?

Thanks for your patience and cautious answer!

If you are training players, never let the coach decide. Always choose "strictly follow depth chart." and then if you are doing one position training, say point guard, for the first game you set the first player you want to train at "starter" "reserve" and "backup" that way he will get 48 minutes for that game, then you do the same for the next two games with the other two players.

As for controlling playing time for other players. You kinda have to get a feel for how many minutes a player will play per game. Ususally a starter will play 30-40 minutes per game unless it is a blow out then the reserves will come in for most of the 4th quarter.

I usually plan on my starters playing 30 minutes for my two league games so they get their 60-70 minutes and then I use the cup/scrimmage to make sure my bench players get their minutes.

Thanks a million! Now I got your point, that's to say, if I have three guards to train, then each guy will have one full game with 48mins and a back up game and a game rest~ Thank you again! You are so kind!

My Doctor is Basic with massage and I love it. He is cheap and helps me keep most of my players at strong or proficient for the majority of the season.

I try to keep 11-12 players and get everyone 50-70 minutes a week when possible but occasionally will hit the 80-85 mark when needed.

I have managed at least 3-4 wins this season already against superior teams with much lower GameShape. Managing the GS is just as crucial to winning as having good players. A $25000 player with inept GS will probably play more like a $10000 player or worse.
