If i fire my trainer today, will i have to pay the severance fee since today is the training update?

My trainer is 17,000 right now and level 4, i'm loosing money on each financial update now because of him. I'm loosing between $20000-less than $22000 because of him. I don't want to loose money because of a severance fee. I figure if i fire my trainer, and fire a $3000 player, i'll be earning money on the financial update.

No matter which day of the week it is, you'll have to pay him off as soon as you fire him. Once his salary will be his severance pay.

Are you sure you don't have a doctor or PR manager that's making way too much money? Are you putting $40000 in scouting each week? I just don't understand how you should be losing money with that setup.

Yeah i'm sure, my other two staff members other than the trainer, are minimal staff members, but i understand now what was said, i must have misunderstood something in another thread that spoke of something similar. But yes, it is the trainer that's costing me money

Although a week ago, i had a PR Manger that was $10000 and i fired him last week. My revenue since last monday is $70000, and after i fired my PR Manager, my expenses dropped to around $92000 from $102000.

I had to fire that trainer to get it down to 76606, but i will get a cheaper trainer next week for 13000 or less. I'm planning on firing one of my young players to get the 76606 lower. So yes mostly because of the trainer, but a few scrub players as well i have to fire.

I think i know there is a "problem"...he dont want to lose money at economy update, merchandise+tv contract is 70k and player and staff salaries are 76k, so he lose around 6k on monday, he dont count attendance

Losing money at the Financial update is normal. The profit per week comes when money from home games is factored in. A profit of 92k per week is plenty you can afford a 15k Advanced Trainer and really need one if u want your players to get decent training.
