San Diego Pitbulls V. Connecticut Cresleys


The Pitbulls look like the underdog in the next cup game coming up against the Connecticut Cresleys but dont count them out as they upset the Grizzley Squirrels ranked #65 in the country in the early rounds. When PG Ben Terrell was asked he replyed " A lot of teams count us out and think we are just another D5 team and we can use that as an advantage.". When the head coach Mike Rodney was asked about the ranking difference he said " It doesn't really matter. We just have to go out play hard and execute the gameplan and we'll be fine." Tough Loss


The San Diego Pitbulls have just recently lost to the Connecticut Cresleys by a slim 4 points. When head coach Mike Rodney was asked he replyed " We didn't shoot too well from 3pt land. We missed almost half of our free throws. When you talk about these little things these could be like a 6 or 7 point swing." SG Turmo was 2-9 on 3s. When asked Turmo said " My 3s werent fallin like usual and that couldve made a big difference." SF Anero came up big with 23 points and 8 boards. C Andrade with a double double. But however they could not contain the SG and SF of the Cresleys. PG Terrell was limited to only 19 minutes because of foul trouble. The Pitbulls played a 1-3-1 zone and Look inside on only 1 game of experience of it and did surprisingly well. The future looks bright and wait till next year for another cup run.
