I thought I would get this thread opened early to get lots and lots of discussion on it! This thread is where I will allow YOU GUYS to post who YOU think should be nominees(so you name multiple players/managers) and then when Season 19 is over we will have votes to decide victors. 3 categories this season! NT, U21 and Canada Managers.

NT
1. MVP - What award ceremony is complete without an MVP?
2. Underrated player/6th man - Name kind of speaks for itself. There really is not any designated starters/backups ever at the international levels so I think underrated player is a better title.
3. Most hated Player - I still hate Crockett.

Canada Managers
This is here to shine a spotlight on managers at any level(div I- div IV) to showcase their successes. I kind of stole this from New Zealands forum(207922.1). These awards cannot really be handed out or decided until the end of the season, but hopefully this will help you to know what to look for. Here is some criteria:

1. Manager of the year:
-exceeded expectations in cup/league
-has increased the quality of their team dramatically (i.e by training, increasing training levels, using TM)
- this can be a manager at any level(even div IV).

2. Community Member of the Year:
-Who best promotes the nations cause
-Goes above and beyond the call of duty
-Very active within the community, both onsite and offsite.

3. Trainer of the Year:
-Dedicated to training Canadian players(NT and U21)
-Successes in training players all over the globe as a secondary criteria :P

If you have any ideas for awards in any of these 3 categories leave a post and list some criterias you think should be listed.

Alright well there you go everyone, start posting any nominees. I will keep my mouth shut until theres been a decent discussion and group of nominees chosen. Also leave a little reason why you have chosen who you have chosen as nominees if you can! :)

Community Member of the Year: Mod-Bballin, Morwood, Headless T Gunner
Trainer of the Year: GM-beanerz, Mr.Burns, Coach Coach, Stajan, Galloping Ghost, Goonnz, lyandro86, Nikan.

1. MVP - Momar Maja? I figure he's up there. Great GS, great skills, necessary component in the motion offence.
2. Underrated/6th man - Glenn Richards. Just impressed that he's superstar potential with $180k salary. Impossible?
3. Most hated - Matthew Williams. He's an eyesore. Red headed and bald since age 18, also looks mopey.

U21
1. MVP - Curtis Worley. Probably.
2. Underrated/6th man - Not sure.
3. Most hated - Leonid Lutsyshin. ATG potential? I want him.

Managers
1. Manager of the Year - **3-way TIE** Beener (season 15 creation; 17-1 in D.II, final 16 in cup) and Coach Coach (final 8 in cup and has pocketed over $5m cash this week, also owns Worley) and Blenkinsop (18-0, will be in cup finals, and a very reasonable$713k salary)
2. Community Member of the Year - Bballin (don't see how anyone would disagree)
3. Trainer of the Year - Beanerz? Mr. Burns? Greer & friends? Coach Coach? I might crack the top 10.

I'm not familiar with our NT and most non-Naismith teams, so I dunno really.

MVP - Maja sounds good
Underratted - don't know
Most Hated - Moran - always gameshap issues

U21
MVP - Worley (trying to put aside my bias)
Most underrated - Leo Laverdure - who you say? didn't make the team but is ATG potential C - one to watch for the future (BBall Gangsters in II.4 own him)

Manager of the Year - Beener - has dominated II.4
Community Member - Bballin

NT:
MVP: Maja, Kearns.
Maja leading team in REB and 3rd in PTS. Kearns is leading team in PTS and second in assists.
Under-rated: EAK, Williams, Richards, Germain.
Germain always puts up efficient minutes. Richards does the best he can at only superstar pot. EAK is consistent ally filling up the stat sheet. Williams is leading in ASTs and 2nd in PTS, leading in assists for the 4th straight season. Already 6th all time.
Most Hated: Moran
Gameshape.

U21:
MVP: Stephen O'Higgins, Curtis Worley
1st and 2nd in points respectively. Worley also tied for the seasons lead in REB. These players basically carried Canada all season.
Under-rated: Trotter, Main, Laverdure, Dawson
Trotter was 3rd in points and was filling up the stat sheet like a SF should game in, game out. Main put up very efficient minutes. Laverdure is an ATG C like Coach Coach already stated. Dawson came off the bench and hit a big three or 2 all the time.
Most Hated: Meadows, Promrat.
Sorry damian, but Meadows was not nearly as good as I expected. Promrat did not live up to the legacy of such an epic name.

Canada Managers:
Manager of the Year: Iwantham, Beener, Coach Coach, lakers444, Galloping Ghost, Goonnz.
Iwantham - Semifinalist in cup, running away with Naismith.
Beener - S15 draft class, already looking at promoting out of II.4.
Coach Coach - Elite 8 as a div II team, trainer of Curtis Worley and Denny Hall.
lakers444 - Leading arguably the most difficult conferences in div II, with a very strong roster.
Galloping Ghost - First season in div II. Thrown into the deadly Big 8 of II.3. Sitting 5th with a 12-7. Have won 12 of last 15 games.
Goonnz - first season in div III. Very competitive III.5 league and is sitting 3rd with a 16-3 record while training a great Canadian guard in Matthew Ferguson.

Community Member of the Year: Headless T Gunner, Morwood, me(am I allowed to say myself? :P)
Headless T Gunner - Lots of Div III write-ups early in year.
Morwood - U21 writeups all season.
Me - Opened most threads? ;)

Trainer of the Year: Coach Coach, GM-beanerz, Galloping Ghost, Goonnz, Nikan, lyandro86
Coach Coach - Curtis Worley and Denny Hall. C'mon!
GM-beanerz: Kumar, Begley, Barbiroli. Going for 2 U21 players in 3 season.
Galloping Ghost: Rickard and Early. Both made the U21 team as call ups. Both look to be continuing training and gunning for NT spots.
Goonnz: Matthew Ferguson. Perhaps best 19yo guard in Canada.
Nikan: Lachance last season and Main this season. Both MVP C with good secondaries and decent shots at SNT.
lyandro86: Foreign trainer of the year? 20k 20yo and 12k 19yo big men.
