Please whatever happens don't let this come true. If it wasn't for Yokozuna not wanting to be in the playoffs and throwing games the Sapporo Fighters despite their millions of spending this season wouldn't have even made the playoffs.
I have many millions in the bank and with more notice could have easily have created a team of random old $200k a week guys that could have given the platoon some competition.
Suerly you aren't quitting over an injury. You did name your team the Trailblazers so whose fault is it? Injuries are part of basketball, just ask Brandon Roy and Greg Oden. Same in this game. You only paid $500k for your C so I doubt he is your best player.
As for me last season I lost Hirofumi Sonoda NT player who is 5th in the league in scoring this season but in divisio 2 dominated scoring, rebounds and rating and was robbed of the league MVP probably because of the injury.
This season I have lost for at least 2 weeks 3 of my top 5 players, all starters. Kaname Kouzuki who is 3rd in the league in rebounding, Daisaku Kawaida who is 10th in the league in assists and Umari is out right now and is my best guard.
Injuries suck. Especially at this time of the season. But they are a part of real basketball and are much milder here, no career ending ones or ones that disable you forever.
It is not like you don't have a team, just maybe you will have to find a tactic besides look inside. Ben Usman ($220k SG) Mathias Budiarso ($170k PG) and Alpár Göncz ($81k SG) can surely create some sort of offence between them. And it is not like you have no bigs. Patryk Madany ($150k PF) is a baller and Torquato Marchi ($110k C) still make up one of the most impressive lineups in the league. Even before this injury your biggest hole was at PG/SG where you have no depth.
Pickup a backup guard and it is still likely you can advance to the finals.
YC suggested firing Gilbert Hormigos which was the best financial move, but it is nice to see that you are willing to take the hit to your wallet to keep him around for someone else's benefit..
