Hey, guys! Figured I'd start this seasons thread. Hopfully it's more active than past seasons - especially S19, haha! Feel free to ask questions. I'll be posting here often.

Good luck, and welcome to all the new teams! I see the Ninja Pirates are here from DIII. I believe you're in my private league, no?

Thanks for the welcome, Magus. My team, the Drunken Clams, just promoted from V.7.
I'm looking forward to a more active league and some good competition. It looks there are some really good teams in both conferences. Here's hoping I don't demote in August.

Hey, Rhymin, good to see another active manager enter this league. Your team name seems very familiar; I must have seen you in the BB forums or somthing? Who knows, haha!

Believe it or not - there are a lot of active managers in league IV.30; however, most of them don't use these forums as often. When I was in this league I contacted them via BB-mail. Hopfully this season they're more active in the forums. It makes the league much more exciting when you can discuss it with others.

CornBallers, Killa beez, and PMP are among the few managers I've spoken with. All have fantastic squads. Should be a good season for you guys. Goo luck fellas'! Look farward to hearing from you all.

Cornballers here. My team started off slowly last season, came on strong when I played Conanan and Lucas together, and then finished slowly. Hopefully we can improve this season, no thanks to a crappy draft.

Anyhow, I doubt I'm a title contender this season, but Lucas is getting pretty awesome and Conanan is either going to be lockdown defender for my team or will sell for enough cash for me to buy a dominant FA or two, so I think we'll be pretty good. But the arena still needs work for D.III and beyond and I'm still focused on giving Lucas the best training possible, so if we don't do well then I'm okay with that.

Looking forward to a new season with some new faces, and hopefully some excitement going on in the forums here! GL everyone!

I've posted in the forums a couple times, or you might have seen me in the USA offsite forums. Or if it's the team name that's familiar, I played Quickhit Football about 2 years ago for a while, and my team name was also "Drunken Clams." On the other hand, you might just remember the bar on Family Guy. ;-)

Good to see you, Cornballers. It sounds like you've got a good team and some good long-term strategy going. That draft is a bummer. I lucked out and got a decent 19yo.

I also doubt I'll be a title contender this season either. It's a building season for me. Like you, training my main trainee and building the arena will be primary concerns. I'm hoping I can make the playoffs. But as long as I don't demote, I'll be happy.

Thanks. It can always use more work but I'm pretty happy with it as it stands. Hopefully by the end of this season I'll have built it up enough to be able to start putting money toward upgrading my team, especially my front court players. I've seen what a big arena and a high income can do by watching your team go from worst to first in less than a season.

@Rhymin Simon: Millard Smith looks pretty good, for sure, although he was an 18yo from last season and not a draftee this season, am I right? He could be better than Lucas when all is said and done because of his potential.

To everyone: unfortunately, personal circumstances mean that for the foreseeable future, my internet access will only come at the cost of a three-mile walk. So I probably won't be on as much, unfortunately, but I'll still make sure to get on once or twice a week at least to keep managing my team and keep working with Lucas. I just probably won't be as active on the forums, sadly. But that will hopefully change eventually once things get worked out around here, so I'm looking forward to that and hoping that day comes soon.

Hey, man. I hope you're doing alright.

Thanks for the compliment on Smith. You're right on him. He was an 18yo from last season. He came with an inept Inside shot, so I've been trying to get that up to the place where it wouldn't be a liability as an SF. That way I could take advantage of the great ID and RB that he was born with. I'm still trying to figure if it's worth it since he's so short. But that's where I am.

And I have to say, that looks like one heckuva arena. I hope mine will be that good in a season or 2.
