Ok, I got this guy a week ago.....he already popped in IS. Now I'm thinking of turing him into a well-rounded SF/Guard. Here he is;

Rubén González (23159901)
Small Forward

Weekly salary: $ 4 633
Role: draws a paycheck
(BuzzerBeta)

DMI: 17600
Age: 21
Height: 6'2" / 188 cm
Potential: superstar
Game Shape: respectable
Jump Shot: respectable
Jump Range: inept
Outside Def.: respectable
Handling: mediocre
Driving: inept
Passing: respectable
Inside Shot: respectable↑
Inside Def.: average
Rebounding: respectable
Shot Blocking: atrocious
Stamina: proficient
Free Throw: mediocre

Experience: pitiful

Ok, what should I do???? (I was thinking of Pressure until he gets to prolific, but then his driving/JR are low, maybe I should do JS/JR???? But really wanted to do Defense......) After OD, I'd train driving, then lastly JR, Handling, Free Throw, and get him up to average at Shot Blocking...

Why did you pick a 21 year old to train rather than a 18 or 19 year old..?

hugh??????? You mean go back in time......how? I didn't even know about this site; I only stumbled here cause of luck, and google.....I was searching for a realistic basketball game, then I see BuzzerBeater, click in it, tour the site, then bam! 1 day later, on March 18, 2012, my team was created....well, you can't undo the past, at least they got him to somewhat trainable and not completly lost yet....

If hell be your main trainee, you and him are pathetic then:D

Seriously his height is low for rounded sf, jr too low for a outside oriented sf. Id get decent trainee in your place 6.5 tall with good inside skills (all respectable) or 6.10 with respectable outside ones. In my eyes decent sf should look like this:

jump Shot: 14
Jump Range: 10
Outside Def.: 16
Handling: 10
Driving: 10
Passing: 10
Inside Shot: 14
Inside Def.: 16
Rebounding: 12
Shot Blocking: 8

Still, this build ispretty optimistic since 120 skillpoints is kind of hard to achieve.
defence is most important, yes, well rounded one will get the best rating or so, but he can be crushed by an sg with outside tactic or either pf with inside tactic. So the main thing is to have high OD/ID, then you can choose if you wana higher jump shot or inside shot, or even.

My sf prospect looks like this atm:D age 18 and now hes even better than yours:) height 6,10

ump Shot: strong ↑ Jump Range: average
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: respectable
Driving: average Passing: awful
Inside Shot: mediocre Inside Def.: average
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: awful
Stamina: respectable Free Throw: average

Experience: atrocious

Well, not my main, just trying to pop him up, then goto my real trainee.....A center with already strongs and respectables.....anyways the joke;not cool (got that from despicable me)

whoa, whoa ,whoa, better! Ok then, Ima get him a few pos, then send him back to his home, knew I shouldve go for homegrown talent, other countries alays do scams!!!!!!!! I'm just sick! Let me get him to proficient OD, then sell him for 60k............that sound good???

Buzzerbeater is a gradual climb, and nothing encompasses that as much as the process of training your trainees. You don't want to be training 21 year olds from scratch. With how slow he'll train, and with how far behind he already is, he'll be about 27 before he's as good as a 21 year old who was trained up from age 18.

I told you in another thread that trainees are the lifeblood of the game, particularly for new users when you can get them perfect training and don't have to sacrifice to win games. Get a few 18 year olds and let them grow with your team.

Buy 3 at the most, and make sure they are the same types of players (train guards with guards, train bigs with bigs). Don't train this 21 yo.

21 y.o. 6'2, SF? I'd rather go for 4 seasons of gaurd training to get him like this

JS:14 for gaurd and 12+ for SF
JR:9-10
OD:15+
HA:14
PA:13
DR:13

And then (IF you want) make him an "SF" and get his stats like this

JS:12+
JR:8
OD:13
HA:12
PA:13
DR:12
IS:10+
ID:12-14
RB:9+
SB:?

FOr the SF, that would be a beast and most likely NOT BE POSSIBLE. HW will most likely be capped, have a salary too high for you, and then you would have maybe 2-4 seasons for him to do what you want. You'd be better making him a gaurd

Thanks, you're the only guy on this thread that has given something positive about him....+1.

EDIT; I'm training OD with him right now:) Hope to get him to 11-13 then will do Driving for 5 weeks. Then trim his JS to 13-15, then back on OD......hope to get it to 14.
