We've all been there when the other team has a monster player, but you don't know how to prepare. For example, I am playing a team with a 41k center tomorrow. It would be nice to know if that salary was mostly based on his Inside Defense, because if he had marvelous ID then I wouldn't run Look Inside, but there is no way to know. So my suggestion is putting in scouting reports. Basically you pay a guy to scout a player for you on another team, but to make it fair, you can only scout one player per game. This report that this scout gives you could give a somewhat accurate set of skills. So what do you guys think?

I don't know, I feel like just giving the information, even if just for one player, is not really the point. There is info and stats that you do have access to, and the idea is to manage your team and tactics the best you can. His salary isn't really all the info you have. In a couple of minutes you can find out much more:

- he has the highest salary in his team, but they mostly play a motion offense, relying more heavily on outside shots. He could still be a good scorer, but his low shooting % (for a big man) suggests otherwise.

- is he a good defender? He fouls a bit, so it may be a liabilty. Checking boxscores with more detail can help you see how opposing centers fare against him.

- rebounding: he does rebound a lot, including offensive rebounds, and rebounding does pump up the salary a lot (so does shotblocking, which he appears to do well)

It is one of the best parts of the game to actually be the scout for your own team, imo.
And one where the difference between a good GM and a bad GM emerge.
So no, I wouldn't let people buy it.

To be honest, I think you should be thankful that some savvy veteran or two has not come to this thread and ripped the suggestion to itty bitty little pieces. This is a strategical game, getting rid of something that provides another level of strategy would just be stupid.
