Season 20 Saving Players

Poll:  How important do you think it is to save players?

To get players onto the U21 team they need to be trained. Some are trained by the teams that draft them. Some are sold and then trained by the team that bought them. But many young players end up on teams that are inactive and eventually become bot teams. If you add a player to the U21 team before the team becomes a bot, then the player is released onto the market as a free agent and can be bought by a new team which will hopefully train them.

Last season I was the manager of the Indian U21 team. Over the last four seasons I saved probably hundreds of players. While many of them were never trained anyway many were, in fact this season's Indian U21 team is mostly made up of players that I saved from botting teams and made into free agents.

Some of the players this season are ones that we saved from teams going bot like Shatrughna Parakh (22984692), Agnidev Saini (21259278), Diksapala Bhushan (22080579), Chitrambalam Pande (21259116), Sean Evans (22355186), Simon Chettiar (22492147), Shahriar Farhad (22472090), Dirgha Subramanian (22223128) and Achyuta Ram (22984753). Yes that is an amazing 9/13 players on the team that only exist because we saved them from free agency.

So my plan will be to keep a very close eye on every single team in Bolivia to make sure all players that can potentially e saved, are saved. It is a big job but an important one.

Thanks, that is the plan. With a lean roster to begin the season I can always add more players later and save those that I can even if they aren't really up to international standards.

Thanks. That was the situation two seasons ago in India. THe senior team had finished its competitive games but the U21 team was still fighting and full so the senior team saved several players for us. Great.

None of the three teams in II.1 have logged in recently. Surprised to see Caballeros de la Coca have been almost a week. gran equipo_78 and Conejos Team are active.

Gotemba has the following young Bolivian players.

Ignacio Robles (25235903) 18 3k star. Barely worth training really.
Jorge Batlle (25235868) 18 3k 6th man. Fail.
Johnny Ballivian (25235864) 19 2k benchawrmer. Fail.
Felipe Dutra (24190224) 7k 19 allstar. He is a must save so I have added him to the team. He is the best 19 year old in Bolivia and is still getting trained and had a double pop in ID and SB last week.

So this is the week that Gotenba goes bot. Next week we may be losing Alianza Lima 1978 who have one interesting young player. Modesto Castell (25880760) a 19 year old MVP. A player to look out for in the future.

It is looking good so far with a $400,000 bid already he is hopefully going to a good home.
