Hey guys. Im thinking im at a bit of a cross-roads with my team (23340). I have been in the playoffs the past few seasons and did pretty well last year. At the end of my run last season I sold some of my older players who we're also some of my better players in order to revamp. My problem was that I didn't get what I was hoping for and probably will get knocked around a bit. So my question is do you think I should sell my remaining studs and go for broke ir keep my head down and keep trying. I am only making about 2k per week.
$39k in staffing
$6.5k minimum dr
$29k advanced trainer
$3k minimum pr
$162k player salary
Best player/trainee 22 y/o 100 pt value starting sf $14k
Starting pg 23 y/o 89 pt value $21k
Starting st 27 y/o 98 pt value $38k
Starting pf 35 y/o 80 pt value $14k (can't get what I paid for him)
Starting c 26 y/o 89 pt value $23k

Backup pg 28 74 pt value $5k
Sg 27 79 pt value $13k
Sf 28 85 pt value $14k
Pf 27 74 pt value $7k
C 30 70 pt value $5k

Reserve
Pf 19 57 trained last season $3k
, c 18 47 rookie trainee $4k
C 18 48 rookie nontrainee $2k

My starters don't show what I could make through tl
96% arena capacity
Any suggestions??

Dump the trainer! U can get an advanced trainer for under 15k a week. I've bought two 11k a week trainers each for less than 30k.

Yes it is a sum of all skill points. For most players i have them in positions where their skills are highest (makes sense) lol. It would be nice to see how many skill points all players had without seeing their specific skill sets. I know in my case I have more valuable players making less then less valuable players. It would help to better gauge opponents.

I agree with the people who are saying to get a new trainer, but I understand you don't have money right now. Do it asap. Whether you choose to go with an advanced one or not that is up to you.

Here are some other things I would suggest:

Fire that doctor! You don't have to hire a new one, another minimal will just show up with 2k salary, saving you 4,500 a week.

Not really sure that training a man with 6th man potential is that profitable, I find that there are 18 year olds with 3k salaries with star potential for under 10k.

Your arena needs work desperately. Did you know you have been selling out your bleacher seats and your luxury boxes for at least the past 2 months? I know expanding immediately would pose a problem since you have no money, but make sure to bump your bleacher seat price up a dollar and your luxury at least $50.

Your payroll is one of the highest in the Big 8, you could definitely afford to sell one or two of your players, I know you will probably be opposed to this next suggestion, of recommending that it be Jeffrey Kelly, since you drafted him yourself. He however will get you the best sum of money. He is 23 so people could still few him as trainable and will pay higher than his actual skills deserve.

I know you are in the Cup so some of your players are overworked sometimes, especially when you get tough cup draws, but most of you players have mediocre game shape and the season has barely begun. Keeping your player's game shape between respectable - proficient will improve you team tremendously.

I hate to say this but with no money and a small arena, you are not ready to promote this year. So try to save all the money possible this year while building your arena, and perhaps next year you will be able to make a run at the championship.

This doesn't mean you need to relegate, in fact I think you can make the playoffs, even if you do sell Kelly. The biggest thing here is that your small arena has probably been holding you back from making more money for a long time.

Thanks for your ideas. This was what I was looking for! My trainees Dyer and Waggoner are mvp and perennial all-star potential. Last year I trained cannot because most of my roster was older and he was on of the few I could get pops out of. Im only using him if I have additional training minutes. After I think 8 seasons I still haven't figured out game shape. Normally I play my trainee all 48min of one game per week and play him as a backup for the rest. All other players normally switch starts and subs. My problem is finding the balance between playing well, getting my players trained and staying in the cup. Once im eliminated from the cup I normally only play backups in scrimmages. Part of me says to sell everybody and start fresh re-read the buzzerbeatrr guide and see how I can improve but having drafted Cuevas, Kelly and Dyer I have a sense of pride in what I have going.

Better yet, wait until training processes tomorrow and straight up fire the trainer. If you can't afford to get a decent advanced trainer with a reasonable weekly salary before next week's training, a week of FT/stamina training would be in order (or even GS to try to repair those issues, though I would much rather see it in FT/Stamina).

I actually got a 16k trainer for 2k and fired my dr. Increase my bleachers by 145seats and making 19k a week. Not great but I got a big salary on the tl I can hopefully unload.
