"Yo Benson, I promise you that if you buy this franchise off me I can get you the 1st overall pick this year" - David Stern.

2011: Cleveland lose Lebron, Cleveland gain 1st overall
2012: New Orleans lose CP3, New Orleans gain 1st overall
Ok something is suss about this "Lottery" guys...

PS: I honestly think Charlotte should've just been given the 1st pick by default, their entire team is just that crap...

There have been a few other occasions where people have believed the draft lottery was rigged, including the very first one in 1985. The prize that year was a center from Georgetown named Patrick Ewing. And sure enough, he wound up in the Big Apple, where Stern supposedly wanted a superstar on the Knicks to improve TV ratings in NY. The only other draft where I have to reach for the tin foil is 2003, where Cleveland won the right to draft local boy LeBron James. However, the Cavs did have the best chance of winning that year.

if that is an coincidence, shouldn't this count too for Rose and Chicago?

But i think james was from the beginning an worldwide Brand, and could get higher profit for the NBA nearly everywhere.

Hmmmmm........i wonder whats the next "Stern Lottery" possible choices..........

1.Dwight Howard goes; Magic have horrible season=1-3 draft picks
(Fat Chance) 2. Kobe goes somewhere else, Lakers go mediocre (if Bynum could suck for 1 year) get 1-3 picks
3. Celitcs/Spurs; Senior citizens retire, 1 or other has mediocre years..........get 2-6 picks.

Anyone else have the "Stern Team" or will it finally be fair next year............

Oh, next choice; Kings move to Seattle, rivived Sonics get 1st pick to get the bball felling back there........

Yeah I know, some may be off, but those are possiblities, so don't get riled up.

You forget the year Cleveland actually Drafted LeBron. They had the same record as the Clippers, after trading Andre Miller to the Clippers to tank games, and make Clippers good enough to not lose more than them. Cavs got #1 and got "Hometown" LeBron James. Clippers got screwed enough where they couldn't get Darko, Carmello, Wade, etc.

I really don't get what this is supposed to mean, yeah usually when you have a team with only 1 good player and you lose that player your team sucks and they will be the worst team and get the top picks.

I definitely agree with the first part, that can be a possibility because a new owner wants to buy Hornets off the NBA and obviously with Anthony Davis it makes the team more valuable.
