I have not seen a legitimate debate in awhile (except about tanking I guess), and I would like start another discussion similar to the SB thread
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?thr...
. I am no longer a supporter, so I can not create a poll but you guys still can voice your opinions via message. So anyway, my question to you guys is would you ever consider training rebounding on guards? It is a known fact that this skill trains pretty slow on shorter players, and once trained causes the salary of this player to rise pretty significantly. Although, guards with high rebounding are known to grab quite a few boards, and would be very helpful if you were to play a 3-2 zone and already were lacking rebounding. So what do you think BB-community? Is spending some time training rebounding on guards a good idea? I have heard many different opinions, but I would like to hear what you guys think. Let the debate begin!

I'd like to. Because rebonds creates the shots. I would train it up to respectable-strong

I would if I were training secondaries, but if the guard is shorter than 6'4", no way.

I never cared for RB on guards until I became U21 coach. I have plenty of good guards to choose from. Some have RB 6-7, some have 2-3. Those guards with rebounding were very very valuable to me; each grabbed 4-6 rebounds in 30+ minutes on the floor.
So now when I'm training inside players, I have the luxury of 6 training spots with RB training, so I always add a guard or two to the training. I don't mind it's been trained slow. In close games, every rebound counts.

My PG who is now 24 and should cap as a perren AS this season
has 8 at RB
It's a help to teams that need RB, he had 3 games with 10 or more last season
and the season before that
I vastly improved the team RB this season and his best so far is 5
