Does anyone know exactly which skills affect which? I suspect it's not a simple web.
Does ID affect OD for example?
Thanks!

I believe that it does have a crossover effect. It happened to me during training. Only once I believe. I'm on my phone so when I get to a computer I will post the training session on this thread.

Do not confuse whilst the elastic effect is. The elastic effect is the speed up or slowdown of skill increase due to the relative levels of the related skills. What you guys are discussing is training affecting more than one skill i. e. 1v1 training HA or JS or Pressure training ID. The two are related, but not the same. I hope that made sense.

It did not clearly state that only related skills have elastic effects over each other. But it's a common knowledge that it only affects related skills.

One of the few posts I have on my offline bookmarks is this one from Yellow cake (78242.563)

I have to agree with Wolph....For a skill to get an elastic effect the secondary skills pertaining to that training have to be high. So if this is the case, JR has nothing to do with OD, right? JR also trains JS, driving, and handling...so those have to be high to get the elastic effect in JR. It was proven like 3 seasons ago...High OD doesn't help with ID training but high ID will train OD faster because ID is a secondary training of OD. So, it was the high driving, handling and JS that got you those two pops in JR while training JS...like you said..it was a pitiful and everything that pertained to it(JR) was 8 levels higher...So there you have ...elastic effect 101

Yeah, I had that post copied into my training spreadsheet because it was just that useful. Of course, I wasn't around to read the original and Manon as usual had the answer.

So, the elastic effect depends only on the skills, which can get secondary pops from a given skill?
OD depends on ID, but not the other way around, which would mean that you could get ID very high first and thus help OD to pop faster. Of course you'll need to have other big men skills high, but it's natural.
So what you're saying is poor OD would train faster on big men thanks to elastic effect. But it's very hard to determine, cause there are so many factors against it. So no one suggests training OD on 23yo bigs.
Maybe it's wiser to train 1on1 first and not OD for PG, cause DR and HA are secondaries to most skills.
But is it just a theory?
