What offense should I run to break the press and what defense do i run to stop the run and gun? any help wld be greatly appreciated.

If you have good offensive flow (driving, handling and passing), try patient. From experience, you will get open shot after open shot. :)

I want to suggest patient as well. It may be difficult at your level since players arent great, but it can really help avoid turnovers as well as score you lots of points.

Patient actually works very well from my experience. It leads to several dunks and threes. It doesn't seem like it would, but it does.
But you are right, any offense would really work.

As stated by others. Definitely 3-2 zone. Look Inside would be my choice of offense and try and put 3 perimeter players in the game with high handling and decent passing. If they have low handling you're in trouble.
