Your not going to play a meaningful game until, December 1st. So you have 200K now, you'll get 50k tomorrow morning, after the financial update. (You'll get 3 more of these 50K bonuses, each next monday.) Tomorrow, you'll also pay your scouting and staff fees. So you'll lose about 6k off of your 250K, assuming you don't put any money into scouting. I like to tuck away 10K a week, on scouting. It yields the best bang for the buck return, in my opinion. You will also also receive Merchandise and TV revenue. I think your TV revenue will be around 50k, and your Merchandise about 10K. So you should have about 300K, tomorrow morning. Next week, you'll have to pay your players salaries, but if you only have a few guys, it won't hurt you. The other way to gain revenue are Home games and tournament wins. The next tournament starts on December 6th.
Right now is a cheap time to buy players, since they can not play in playoff games. Players only age, on the off season, next monday. Players 32 years and old, can lose their skills, along with value. I try to avoid these, unless I need to fill a whole. Centers are a dime a dozen, since they are the easiest to train. The also have the least skills to focus on. So they ramp up in salary fast. A players salary only changes in the off season too. This is why older players are not a value as younger players. If a player drops in Jumpshot, by a level or two, you could be paying extra per week, for a skill that is no longer there. On the flip side, if you train a young player in Jump Shot, you'll get a value, since you are paying their salary based on a lower figure.
More to come.
