Given free agency is about to 'officially' open for business, thought a thread would be a good idea rather than NBA chat appearing all over the place.

Latest "signing" Rashard Lewis to the Miami Heat, 2 years $2.8 mil. The guy can afford to play for nothing given his $13.7mil buyout from the Hornets.

So the new CBA was supposed to end "super teams" but
* the current champion has ADDED Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis to come off the bench
* Steve Nash goes to the Lakers without them losing a starter
* Brooklyn getting close to having a "big 4" of Williams, Johnson, Wallace and Dwight

Miami is still not done yet. Elton Brand has been seen in Miami, probably having a meeting with Pat Riley. Brand got bought out by the Sixers this season as well.

LOL that looks like 3 stacked teams right there.

Really hoping that Brandon Roy works out for the Twolves. Not a bad lineup if he gets going, along with Love and Rubio. Potential playoffs.

Apparently Love wants oit cause he is tired of playing for Minnesota. See what happens on the next couple of months with that.

As a bulls fan, fn ove but can not see the bulls changing that as they seem to hesitate when it comes to team chemistry.
perhaps love and Morrow at sg will be perfect.

Boozer is overrated and overpaid and everyone knows it now so unfortunately you'd have to offer someone a kicker to take him in any deal. Chances are he is going nowhere.

And Asik will be gone, I can't see them committing that many dollars to a reserve centre even though he should be good enough to start next season or the one after, not when noah is on a decent salary.

P.S. Grant Hill looking at Heat, Lakers or Thunder

That could be possible.. Bynum to Rockets, Turkoglu to Rockets. Scola and Rockets 1st round draft picks to Magics. Dwight to Lakers. For that to happen the Rockets would want at least some sort of guarantee that Bynum would sign an extension with them.

In other news: "You guys aren't going to believe this, but Kobe Bryant thinks that a team that features him could beat a team that doesn't feature him. No, I know — crazy, right?"

from a random comment:
lol, 11 NBA guys were on the 1992, and all 11 are in the Hall of Fame.
Jordan, PRIME in 1992. Robinson, PRIME. Barkley, PRIME. Pippen, PRIME. Ewing, PRIME. Mullin, PRIME. Drexler, PRIME. Malone, PRIME lol.

Stockton, PRIME and while everyone knows he's the all-time Assists leader, many forget he is the all-time STEALS leader, by miles and miles and he'll never be caught. A tenacious defender who was extremely fast. Remember Gary Payton, "the glove"? Stockton has 33% more steals than him lol. Steals aren't the only indicator, but Stockton was much more than just an Assist machine so let's not lose sight of that.

Laettner...who cares. College kid. If you were really doing that team right, you'd swap him for Isiah Thomas or something (personality conflicts aside). Or Dominique. Or even another college kid like, oh, I don't know...Shaq.

Your 11th and 12th, non-Prime guys are named Magic and Bird. They weren't even in the top 6 in FG Attempts on the team in the Olympics--they were NOT the focal point. Bird only started 3 games. Magic started only 5. People who bash the 1992 as "old, past their primes Bird and Magic" are fooling themselves. It was Jordan's team.

The 2012 is an excellent club (the 2016 should be even better), and with a Derrick Rose, Dwight Howard, etc.,healthy this year, who knows. But, this 2012 team is nowhere close to the 1992 team. Bryant is past this prime (not Bird/Magic past...but past his prime). Harden and Iguodala will never go to the hall of fame. It remains to be seen if guys like Blake Griffin will have a hall of fame career. (Blake has to develop another more or two, for example)

Size? The 1992 team had 10 guys that were 6'7" or taller. The 2012 team has 6 guys that tall.

The 2012 team has 2 potential Jordan's though--that's there true ace in the hole. Lebron and Durant are special. Very special. But the game isn't 2v2, or even 3v3. It's at least 5v5 and it's a 12-man roster. 1992 will never be touched.
