Is there a way to have the coach decide the lineup except for one training position using "Let Coach Decide"? For example, I want to one position train at center. If I set the trainee as the starter, backup and reserve at center and leave the rest of the lineup blank, will the trainee get all 48 minutes at center? What happens if I do that with strictly follow the depth chart? Will I only have player play the game or will the other 4 positions be covered by the coach deciding?

I highly doubt it will work, your play might be able to play in that position for about 40 minutes, but there will be a lot of subs and im 99% sure he will not get his full training minutes.
I'll try it in my next scrimmage with strictly follow the depth chart dressing 6 players and leaving two positions open so I don't get a walk over against me.

Strictly follow depth chart and blanking dont go good together, you can see a lot of weird people playing out position.

I played LCD with a blank lineup in a league game I was sure I'd win. I selected two backups and put them in the starter slot only and left everything else blank. The PG and the PF that I selected to start both played 47 minutes, and my ratings took a hit. So I'd imagine it's quite possible.

I know, and I was telling you that when I chose a PG and put him in the starter slot and left the rest blank in my last league game that he got 47 minutes during LCD. My ratings weren't as good as when I played LCD with a completely blank lineup however.

theoricly the option let coach choose from depth chart should work ideally in your case. but practicly, who knows...
