I remember reading somewhere that the optimal minutes per week for game shape are somewhere between 48 and 75. Right now, on the last week before playoffs and with the 2 league games out of the way, 6 of the 8 players I used are between 53 and 77, which is decent I guess. The other 2 are at 44 and 46 respectively. I have an injury who is obviously out of the picture and then another 3 "filler" players that I never use in real games, I just keep them around to help balance out the training minutes if needed.
Now, with the playoffs around the corner, I want an opinion. I have 2 plans in mind:
a)Assign the 3 filler players as starter, backup and second backup on one position each. Assign the 44 and 46 minute players as starters in the remaining 2 positions and a couple of ~55 minute players as their backups. Play Full Court Press and Push the Ball in an effort to tire the starters and try to split their minutes somewhat evenly with their backups, so I don't have any odd players going off into the high 80s. Use "Strictly follow depth chart" and hope that the coach doesn't get too creative.
b)Just play the 3 filler guys to give my opponent full 48 minutes instead of a walkover and leave my entire squad as is. 44 minutes isn't way too far from 48, plus I'm going to be training game shape going into the playoffs anyway. This way I also eliminate the chance of a scrimmage injury.
Note that I'll be training game shape this week regardless and my entire squad is already at strong+, except for 1 guy at respectable, who also happens to be one of the two at sub-48 minutes.
What do you guys think, A or B?
PS: My current injury happened during the scrimmage 2 weeks ago and displays 1 week left. In the off chance that he comes back before the game, I'll just give him an entire position to himself and split the other one between the other 2 guys.

Neither.
3 filler players: 48 minutes each
Buy 2 1000k players off the transfer list: 36 minutes each
Your 2 players with 44 and 46 minutes: 12 minutes each
No need to injure / overuse those 55 minute players in case someone else is injured and they have to play 20+ minutes.
Play game.
Fire 2 1000k players.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

That is the best course of action, indeed, but I forgot to mention that I'm currently sitting on -1505 dollars and have no income to look forward to until the actual playoffs.
edit: So, any other opinions before the game tomorrow?
