Here's the situation:

I've locked up the 3rd seed in the playoffs. The 3 and 4 seeds are set. My last game is a TV road game against the current #1 seed. If I beat #1 and the #2 seed wins (which they should easily), they switch places. I beat the #1 seed earlier this season by 16 going CT at 5 enthusiasm. I'm 1-1 against the #2 seed. Now, my question...

I currently have 10 enthusiasm and expect to have 9 going into the last game. Would you...

A. Play normal for the win to face them first in the playoffs

B. Play CT for the win to face them first in the playoffs

C. Play TIE not worrying about this win but preparing for the playoffs, possibly still winning anyway

I'm leaning towards TIE to go into the playoffs strong, but I am concerned how losing this game will affect me being a TV game. All responses are appreciated. Thanks.

you NEVER want to CT before the playoffs. it's bad and it'd be painful when playoffs come, now I say go option C cause then you got high enth. to beat the for in 2nd+ win the #1 seed. then you go to the finals to face whoever and hope for the best. but I'd also lean on A too cause you never know what the 4th seed is doing, example if you do option A:

face them. win. now you could actually have a faceoff (depending on luck) against the 4th seed. but it's 50 depending what moves the 4th seed does. so if the new #1 wins, then you got trouble.

Example for B: win the regualr season, lose hard in the payoffs. case closed

Example with C: you lose, then tkae on the 2nd seed. you upset him, then go to the conference finals and beat the guy that beat you here. then you go to the finals and who knows what else.............luck?

oh well hope this helps

As previously mentioned, never, ever crunch heading into the playoffs. You need to max your enth., that's the most important thing. So I would definitelyTIE your last game.

Put me in with the TIE crowd, but more importantly, don't let the fact that it's a TV game concern you. Playoff games are likely to sell out regardless, and the fan survey rating for TV games (as well as rivalry and last league game) are reset in the offseason. Basically, once you've had your last home game of the regular season, rivalry and TV games beyond that don't matter. And I think technically that playoff/relegation games are considered as TV games anyhow, but again that really doesn't matter.

I dint know if I like the idea to cut ent down to 5 right before the playoffs. imo they are equally as important but 5 steps of ent has got to be worth more then hca.

I think you're underestimating the importance of HCA.

Opinions differ obviously but I think you're underestimating the importance of enth. in the playoffs. While neither should be ignored, enthusiasm is much more important than HCA IMO. If he goes into the playoffs with only a 5 ethusiasm, he's going to be a sitting duck for teams that have 9-10.
