Esperience works in two ways:

- it determines which shot the player takes, while experience player usually make better decision. And inexperienced player sometimes take a too difficult shot, or don't use a oppurtunity where it is unlikely that you get a better chanche later on

- it let perform players better in the crunch time

The first point is an indication, that the player take more shots since he had better chanches. The second part might be also a reason why he is the better option, when he lead your team in the forth quarter.

Maybe you need better passing and handling to utilize your inside player, who normally don't create that much shots for themself.

Also in the Look Inside offense I know for a fact that the SF has the highest shot selection percent over all other positions. Not sure on the Princeton offense though.

I'm 99.9% sure that the last time I looked at the Look Inside offense shot distribution chart on the USA offsite forums, it stated the SF had 24%, PF 23%, C 22%, SG 16%, PG 15%.

I am guesstimating those numbers since I can't recall the exact numbers but I remember the SF having the most very clearly. I remember this because I could agree with it. Last season I was getting aggravated with the fact that my SF and PF were both taking more shots than my C, who was hands down the best inside scorer on my team.

You can always switch positions to gain more shots for your C. Have him start at SF or PF and just switch your defense tactics around (Have your new SF play defense as C still).

Keep in mind that this is for the Look Inside offense tactic and it may vary with the Low Post or Inside Isolation tactics. Also other things affect who takes shots.

1. Person guarding your PG, SG, SF, PF may have a better shot due to poor defense on the inside compared to your C. i.e bigger gap in the IS/ID margin.

2. Well executed defensive tactic such as a 3-2 zone may cut off passing lanes or driving lanes forcing your PG, SG, etc. to make a poor shot.

Just other things to think about.
