I've seen recommendations to train GS or FT during the All Star Break and during the post season because there are only two games, but the schedule put out in the Forum for this post season (and this is my first, so forgive me if there are changes from previous protocol) seem to have two playoff games and an opportunity for a scrimmage every week. So I'm confused....

It seems like there are three games a week, 2 playoff and 1 scrimmage, pretty much just like the regular season in which case, why would you hold off on training the normal way? Or do people not do scrimmages during the postseason for some reason (can you get injured during the scrimmages?) Or is this recommendation for GS/FT training only for teams that have been eliminated from formal competition because they're not in the playoffs nor a relelgation series?

Maybe "postseason" in this context only refers to the time actually BETWEEN seasons, i.e. what I usually think of as the "off-season"???

Thanks, guys, for any clarification you can provide.

Aha! I see that I hadn't thought it all the way through.

Thanks, man!

Nobody answered his other question. Can players get injured during scrimmages?

Yes.
