Hi everyone. I know one of the major areas of improvement the developers have been trying to focus on is getting the salaries on players lowered. I know its been a long process over several seasons and we are now starting to see the results, but was anyone surprised at some of the salaries your players got.

For example, I have a center that turned 20 this season and was expecting his salary to go from 9K to anywhere from 33K- 38K, based on help programs and previous salaries for similar players. But behold when the player update went through today his salary was only 25K. Its a great day for me because now I have the room salary wise to get another play-maker, but it just wasn't something I was expecting.

Same here. I have a C with IS 16, RB 16 and ID 17. Expected to hit around 150-160k, instead he is 123k. And my payroll is under 400k.

my two centers dropped from 330k to 250k without any drop in skills. Does this mean that my 5.5k rookie is also worth more (relatively)?

I have a player that I drafted as an 18 year old big man with fairly poor outside skills. He's received 22 pops (not including FT/stamina) in the past two seasons, mostly in the guard skills, and his salary went down from his 18 to 19 year old season and now at 20 yo it is only $206 higher than when he was drafted. Of course, his position has changed several times over that span and the free ride time is probably done, but still it's pretty startling.

One of my centres got nearly 10 pops last season, and salary was expected to be 24k ...

It is 20k now, that's great!

Yeah, the same thing happened to me. Three of my bigs were estimated at 30k, 19k and 18k, respectively. Lucky for me, they are sitting at 23k, 14k and 13k. I love salary deflation.

This actually means everybody will have more "cap space" on their teams and will be buying higher salaried players than they would last season...I wonder what this means for the market.
