I already posted it in the bugs-forum - I think it fits there as well as "suggestions". But I totally support your suggestion. And I would also extend it to everybody, not just supporters. Hope somebody from the BBs will respond to our requests soon and do something about it.

In fact they have thought about an option in Preferences to hide them ("show the social network buttons" or something like that)
Normally it is set on "off' per default but it doesn't work

The less FB the better. (or any other so called social networks).
Considering that there are many young users here. And the way those network use your private informations. I feel rather uncomfortable by this kind of phishing.
