I can't believe CR shut down. I thought I had, sololy funded that game for the next 20 years. True Story.

Edit - Court Rivals is still going on.

Unfortunately my favorite game got this news on Friday. http://na.cityofheroes.com/en/news/news_archive/thank_you.php

I was hearing on BS Goodies that ADiego was still trying to get it to work, I think Basketsim may have crashed and is still trying to get fixed...........idk but I liked the money part of the game, and also the games too and world wide draft.

Idk what happened and if BS shut down expect the users to flurry around these games: Buzzerbeater, bballzone, and Charazy.

damn it should've announced buzzerbeater.................but hey I think if bb can get a few more new feaures in the next 2-3 weeks I think BB can absorb BS easily if we can get the word around............ which would be about a 5-10k increase in users, since BS had about 25k users

If we get the word around this will happen (hopefully)

ok BS has about 25k USers. 420% (5k) already said they don't like the game, they gone.

the other 20k: about 5k go to the other basketball games, cause we didn't ad BB much.

15k 7k will know how to get to BB easily, then the other 8k will be confused and scurry away.

that means we could absorb from around 5k-8k people.

My advice. BBs, advertise! This is the best time to do it! Since a lot of the users are already getting tired about the bs HIATUS, they'll come here and check the game out. This is probably our only chance (for now) to get back to 50-55k users.
This will get BB large again and hopefully increase the users of the countries that were falling (i.e. USA France, Turkey, etc) just get the word of BB out it should be easy............I always try to get bb larger by trying to get some more users out of chat.................it works 20% of the time, but I've gotten about 15-30 users to join bb, across 9 countries.

Well is BS shut down for real, and it's not the crash..........bet yall that Charazy bballzone and the other basketball games are already trying to get ads out.........

Well, I guess all the FB integration might help on these.

Just an observation but if the competition goes out of business than that's good news for your own company. As with any marketplace, there's only so much room.

Well let's look at this suggestion for a second:

Advertising costs money, so where are they going to get the $$$ needed to advertise? Kinda odd that the suggestion is coming from you as you don't even pay for supporter. So let's get this straight, you're actually playing the game for free yet you feel that they should spend their money to advertise? Is that how I'm reading things?

As it is, they just took a major step this week to take advantage of the worlds largest free form of advertising, facebook. So it's very ironic that you doled out your piece of 'advice' during the same week that this took place.

Also, I believe we've had multiple pushes with more advertising in the past, and it's really made no dent in the decline of # of users. I don't think that is the way to fix this.

I don't understand your fears.

To me, other sites of basketball shutting down has only an answer: BBs are hacking them.

BBs are buying competitors out pretty much like Bill Gates did with Homer Simpson: destroying them!

That's why we don't see many BBs around or many features implemented, our BBs are working on "other sides".

Good job BBs! Keep up the good work!
