If you keep training different skills, 1 pop a week (on average) is a reasonable goal. My 20 y.o. PG had 14 pops last season when he was 19, training both inside and outside skills. Do you plan to train inside skills on your trainee as well?

Yeah, you'll have plenty of time and room under the (skill) cap for that. Good luck ;)

Right off the bat, you can expect more pops than usual, as skills won't all start at x.0. They will have sub-levels such as x.4 or x.9.

When you train different things, you pop right away in these high sub-level categories. The second time around, they might pop or not.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

http://training.bb-usa.net has good estimates of training speed based on lots of data. For 6'2" 18yo with an average trainer level (probably around lvl 3-4)...

OD trains at .58/week
passing at .75/week
JS (guards) at .57/week
handling gives .58 DR and .72 HA per week

Of course these all gives points to other things too. So the answer is it depends on sub levels and what you are training.

I believe you are experiencing an elastic effect - since you started training OD from inept you experienced 3 pops in 3 weeks...because his outside defense is trying to catch up to his other skills that were much higher...it should slow down but since he is 18 years old keep it up until it slows down. once every 2 weeks is still fast for a pop, then you can switch to other skills. Try to maximize one position training. There is no such thing as luck except random pops or skills that you want to train that are randomly trained by your trainer.

You will probably have 14 or 15 pops this season.

His OD, PA, DR and HA sublevels were pretty high (at least x.5, if not more). He will slow down a bit now, but you will still be able to pull of at least 14 pops. Especially if you train some more Handling for PG or 1 on 1 for PG/SG.

You can expect 12-17 skillpops a season. I had a guard 6.0 heigh he poped 16 times when was 19 years old and every season atleast 10 pops, age 22 now and already poped 5 times this season:) All this with 4-5 lvl trainers. Also i have to mention that 6.4 guard is struggling alot compared to 6.0 one 3-4 pops less each season, they were getting identical training weeks.

I bought my star potential pg at the end of s19 at the age of 19 and ever since then he's popped every week minus 2-3 that his minutes got botched, now at 21 he still pops every week and is just a couple away from capping
