Right now i am 6-8 and in 6th place in my side of the league and 12th in my league overall. In my draft i have found a 5/3 A rated player and a 5/4 A+ player. At this point in the season i could finish anywhere between 2nd and 6th. My question is do you think it is worth tanking the rest of my games just as long as i stay ahead of the 7th place team (Because i know i can beat the other side's 7th seed in a relegation match) for a 5/4 A+ player?
P.S. im not going to give out the position or the height of this player due to the fact that my league has pretty active users that i believe look at the forums but bbmail me if you want to know the height and position of the player because it is pretty interesting.

As usual, I agree with GM-Perpete. It's easy to underestimate how much tanking the rest of the season will end up costing you and easy to overestimate the worth of maybe getting a probably good draftee.

Last time i drafted 5/4 A+ it sold for 54k:D so not worth. if you get only perenial allstar potencial even with 60 skillpoins its worth cents. mine was 58.

The only difference is i probably wont be selling my player. I will be training him unless i see a big problem in his skills.

try to loose only your homegames, so you won't loose much attendance, but drop in the standings

Loosing for a player about whom you know nothing and not even sure you'll get him or not is a bad idea.

I'd lean towards no. You'll forfeit a decent amount of attendance/merchandise revenue, and it looks like you'd put yourself in serious position to risk relegation if you finish in 7th and have to play Rashmonsters (I'm not looking much into the matchup-just a quick glance at rosters), which would cost you bundles more in revenue for next season. I think it's smarter to sit on a few hundred grand and just buy a good trainee off the transfer wire. It may be a wee bit more expensive, but you're also not assured that the scouted player will have strong secondary skills- if he winds up with 1-2 in all his secondary skills it essentially makes him useless, and throwing the season all for naught.
