Is base offense a better offense when it comes to getting better shots than patient.

Reason why i am asking is because my PF who does not miss inside had a horrible game with patient even chucking two 3's

Patient is kinda like when you got one great player and a supporting cast (or a whole bunch of average/sucky players) It's like a Lebron James Cleveland Offense in my opinion, or a Kobe on the Bobcats. What it does is let team try to get the best shooter open ALL THE TIME, hence using 20-24 seconds of the shot clock. Then if the player finds the best shooter, he will give it to him and give him the shot to make. If he doesn't find him, he either:

A. Shoots it himself, making chances low that he makes it

B. Tries to pass it to the best player hence creating turnovers.

those are probably the only things that could happen in this offense. It also relates to an offense the MJ Bulls usually did, with MJ taking a lot of shots, and usually this offense results in 35+ point perfromances, which is what supposed to happen in a Patient Offense. If your best shooter can't even make 30 points, then you probably don't even want to think about the Patient.

Also it is used to reduce teams that are usually WAY better than you shots. Like b/c above it says it takes up 20-24 secs. so it reduces the amount of opportunites to score in the opposing team.

This is an offense I use a lot right now as of late, b/c I only have one legit player. Don't try it at home ;)

Now to base O

It usually gives an equal amount of shots taken. you HAVE to have an almost equal team in all postitions. Mostly because you never know the matchups of the opposing team. Base...........idk a lot about base so I'll let another person explain it to you.

I hope I did answer your question about Patient, and hope it isn't so long. ;)

I find base offence to be the most efficient offence I can run with my current team, which is pretty much balanced in all aspects. Not having an advantage in any perticular offensive or defensive stat, makes this offence the best offence for me to run. So it is, in fact, the best offence a balanced team can run, better than look inside for that matter. Push the ball is basicly the same, only with increased pace.

I can't really add to what tough said, but I just want to make it clear that patient searches for the best OUTSIDE oriented player. It's sorta like the better, more efficient outside ISO. If your best player is an inside player, or your team plays well inside on offence, I dont reccomend using it. It's the most purely ouside oriented offence in the game. More than R&G, maybe even more than princeton.
