Im in a bit of a predicament, so far im in the 4th seed of my playoff bracket and i can go as high as 2nd or stay where i am, predicting that i will be in the playoffs.

Second scenario is to lose on purpose to grab the 5th seed knowing that the other conference team is a new user without the players to beat me. In this case i will probably run the series as far as 3 games to get the most out of the possible income.

Im not afraid of injuries, my team is balanced enough and i'm still going to buy another guard for my bench.

what do you think i should do?

5th seed you don't have playoffs at all. Or relegation series. Hence having no salaries after the last regular series game.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

i would say that you should either play in the playoffs or lose intentionally to grab the 5th spot.
if you are confident that you can win the first match of the playoffs then you should surely go into the playoffs cuz that will be beneficial for you.but if u know that you gonna lose the first game of the playoffs then you should try to move down to the 5th spot.
