I was just wondering if I will get my money back if somebody outbids me for a staff member or a player that I was trying to get. Does anybody know?

yes.

edit (since one word answers are not liked): Just need to watch out for getting too much $$ tied up in one player or staff member. you may see something else along the way, so i typically wait till near the conclusion to bid.
