So guys I am from Washington, DC and I was thinking of changing my BuzzerBeater team (UT-Vols) to a Washington based-related name. I thought it would be a good idea if I heard your opinion seeing that this does cost 100k so If you think I should stay with UT-Vols because changing names is a waste of money or you just think I should stay with my same name please vote for response 1 if you think I should change choose you favorite DC name. Note that just because one name wins this poll does not mean I will change my name or even choose the name that one Ii just want to hear your opinion. Hear are your choices and why they are your choices.

Justice – Definitely on my short list. I like that it is singular, menacing, and relates to DC; the DC official motto is 'Justice for All'. This is my first choice.

District – For those of us true DC natives, a source of pride and defining characteristic is that we are not actually a state, just a District. I would be happy calling the team 'The 'District', but that is not exactly intimidating. The name could definitely yield some awesome jerseys similar to the old Golden State ones with the outline of the city.

Generals – For those of you who didn't immediately notice why this name is awesome, it is the team name of the regular cannon fodder of the Harlem Globetrotters and relates to DC.

Rebels – Another one that relates back to DC and is very cool.

Force – G-Force's name would suddenly make a lot for sense.

Stealth – Singular, sweet, and mildly related to DC thanks to our expensive stealth weapons.

Express -This one has actually grown on me. I am a huge fan of singular names such as Magic, Heat, and Thunder, and this one has a nice old school flavor. No relation whatsoever to DC though, and sounds like it came off a computer nickname generator.

So what's your vote?

DC Bullets

relates back to the good ol times of Washington Bullets, which was and probably is a better team than the now Washington Wizards............also related to stealth

just suggesting.....


if I were to pick from the list, I would do Rebels b/c it would be cool to have a team named that for two reasons


1. DC Rebels makes it like you are rebeling people :p

2. DCR rolls off your tongue good

How about the DC Justice or DC Stealth? Washington might get confused by the fact so many teams here have state or college names, DC makes it more clear (then again, now you have a superhero publisher to be mixed up with). It's a tough choice...

To be quite honest, I'm rather fond of the name "DC Express". It invokes a train for me every time, which I think is a unique image for you. It wouldn't be half bad considering the train system in the city. I agree with some of the others in that you should use "DC" instead of "Washington", the latter generally refers to the state, not the District of Columbia.

Thanks to everybody that replied the only thing really from keeping me from changing is the 100k I don't want to just give away.

DC Express is a badass name. It sounds like a juggernaut.
