Here are some facts about the availability of Bot promotion among some others:

No Bots in NBBA

Division 2
Non-Relegating Bots
Motor City Smooth

Relegating Bots: 6
Shameless; Postal; Chicago Bulls; Mustache Men; Imperial Phantoms; Allied Precise Gunmen

Division 3
Non-Relegating Bots: 2
Purdue Boilers; Super Sonic Sasquatch

Relegating Bots: 13
Wildens; Duk's Jumpers; Georgia Tech; Findlay Flight; Rip City; end of story; Flint Spartans; Sacremento Wildcats; Premature Shooters; Chichago Shadowcats; Wheels World; The Old ones; Mass Murder

This means that: There is 1 spot open for a D3 team to bot promote.
There are 9 spots open for a D4 team to bot promote.
There are at least 22 spots for a D5 team to bot promote.

This also means: There are 6 D.III leagues that will not get a D.II demotee, giving a D.III league a 37.5% chance of not getting one.
There are 13 D.IV leagues that will not get a D.III demotee, giving a D.IV league a 20.3% chance of not getting one.

This means that: There is 1 spot open for a D3 team to bot promote.


This spot has already been claimed by Thunder Gods of III.11 (23799) who has already been knocked out of the playoffs, but has the best record of any D.III team with 21-1 with a 694 PD.

Sorry Big_Dogs. I am almost certain you need to be the top team in your division in order to be eligible for bot promotion. Since Prairie Dogs are number 1 in the Big 8 ahead or you that would make you ineligible for bot promotion. Once ahead I am almost certain about this, but I couldn't find where it said it specifically to give you a quote, so there is a chance I might be mistaken.

Playoffs, and Promotion and Demotion of Teams

"I've won at every level, except college and pro."


The four top-ranked teams in each conference will make it into the playoffs. There is a one-game elimination match between the 1st- and 4th-ranked teams and between the 2nd- and 3rd-ranked teams in each conference, followed by an elimination match between the two winners. When these champions are decided, the winners from each conference face off in a best-of-three showdown. The winner of the division finals is crowned champion of the division, and is promoted to a higher level of divisions. In divisions VI and lower, both playoff finalists will promote to the higher level of divisions. To keep our community fresh and lively, the next best teams in your division will promote to fill in any Bot-controlled team spots in higher leagues. The league that a team will promote or demote to is random within the division that they are slated to go to.


this is how placings go and through bot cleanup ones that win the most will always go first

First Place Big/Great 8


In divisions 4, there are 128 1st placed Great/Big 8 Teams. In D3, there are only 32. So there is no way you can promote without letting these 128 teams promote with you, no matter of record.

look at demotes too. 4*16=64 winners, leacing the other 64 left in dust.

there is literally almost no way a 2nd place team can bot promote, sorry. By next Best BB means place, and record.

Don't worry were not that tough ;)

I bet not even half of the Div III demotees promote back up in their first season. Other teams have had a couple seasons to get familiar with the league and the competition, while Div III teams take a while(maybe 1/3 of the season). Plus the decreased $$$ they get from attendance really hurts trying to build a roster, and sustain it.

Wow, I hope that is the case. I had a great season but got beat in a brawl in the playoffs. Forza definitely earned their promotion.
