I think this is bug in game design!

Players with high salary are very cheap during season break. It is easy to buy such player with 100-200k. Then if you fire player immediately he will be listed with 1M asking price. Ofcourse no-one will not buy player with 1M if he was sold minutes earlier with 100k. That way you can sabotage NT teams at least for small countries.

There should be some time period when players cannot be fired or sold after buy.

NT players can´t be fired. Each country can take care of that on their own.

How to handle so called reserve players who are every now and then playing NT games?
It is not possible to keep all players in a team all the time.

Once a player is part of NT he will stay in the team for the whole season, as you dramatically decrease motivation when you kick a player out of NT.
There might be a time between the seasons, especially when the new NT manager is about to be elected, where NT players lose their flags for a few days. But who will spend hours and a day just to find these players, buy them and fire them? People have real lifes out there (that's what my psychotherapist says, and i believe him)

Bought 12/11/05 for $ 1 082 600.
Paid loans 12/11/12, /17 and /26, $ 252 614 each, $ 757 842 in total.

So, that italian guy spent $ 1 840 442 just to fire the center of world's #31?

Not talking about Italian manager....he didn't fire player. He sold player with 100k. You should check more carefully what is happening. That specific player was sold to BC Nestea, who fired player in 2-3 minutes after transfer!

But my point was not just one player. I still think that there is a bug in the game design

Why did noone from the finnish community buy him. Why did the team sell him at such a bad time? He could get more if the player has NT flag. 100k is not much to spend if you really want to save a NT player. You could prolly sell him for similar amount right away under protection.
