The Future of Jeremy Jackson?
This is a very serious issue. I was on hiatus most of last season, and came back to find that Jeremy Jackson (26041194) is crippling my team. But as he was a first round draft pick in USA II.4 just a season ago... I thought it appropriate to post here before taking any action. (idk, maybe this should be republished as a press release too?)

His behavior has become erratic. Lately he has even taken to dressing up in an owl costume & singing along to the OutKast song "Ms. Jackson".... except changing the lyrics to, "I'm sorry Ms. Jackson. I am too fat. Never meant to make your daughter cry. I apologize and eat cheese fries."

And he keeps doing that over and over. Not to mention it makes no sense. If he's apologizing for being fat, why does he do so while eating cheese fries and dressed as an owl? It's like he's not really sorry after all.



Now, the poll response length isn't sufficiently long so I'll explain the responses below in full:

#1. He should be reacquired by GM-Jason for $1k & be allowed to retire as a member of the Arizona Desert Storm. (Where he was miraculously able to play a full 48 minutes somehow in his greatest moment as a pro. Still not sure how that happened...) So basically the BuzzerBeater equivalent of a player signing a 1-day contract for purposes of retirement.

#2. All of the above, but in addition... rename the Arizona Desert Storm the Arizona Dessert Storm in tribute to Jeremy Jackson.

#3. Put Jeremy Jackson on the Transfer List & let some other team deal with him.

#4. Another team in II.4, one perhaps in need of an extra player, should give him a permanent home as a backup / scrimmage player. (Don't make me start shaming individual teams.)

#5. Fire Him & proceed to Get Jiggy With It

You misquoted his lyrics (not your fault given that he was singing with a mouthful of food). The Outkast feat. J-Jack remix actually goes: I'm sorry Mrs Jackson, I need a meal! Never meant to make your daughter cry, that comment was not about her thighs.

As for your poll, option #2 is pretty much a must, except after being fired as a player he should be allowed to run Jason's stadium concession stands.

Now while #2 is a funny option, (especially for everyone outside of the Desert Storm Orginization) I don't see why the whole orginization should have to be a permanent reflection of one fatty-boom-ba-latti that isn't even on the team anymore!

I like that angle. But it's pretty risky. There's a chance Jeremy Jackson would personally consume many of the offerings during the week. Thus lowering profits as there would be nothing left to sell.

Well people might not even notice it. It's only 1 letter. And even if they did notice, they'd probably just think you're a bad speller. Especially if you go with a military theme for your logo. Or you could full out embrace the Dessert motif and make your logo a Dairy Queen Blizzard.

Regardless, the people of II.4 have spoken. They've made their voices heard, & all but 1 vote are for you at least reacquiring Jeremy Jackson. Do the right thing! Don't disenfranchise voters! (No need to tie this up in the BB court system.)

So sign Jeremy Jackson & let him dress for a Thursday cup game / scrimmage? Honor his legacy then retire him. I mean, plenty of teams sign players for a Thursday game and fire them immediately afterwards. No big cost to your team. It's the right thing to do & you'll generate a whole lot of good will. Even without renaming your team.

(or one of you other II.4 teams are more than free to get in a bidding war for Jeremy Jackson!)

Well, I might have been willing to purchase Fatti-Boom-Ba-Latti and let him play in the scrimmage and retire, but a certain butthead from Chicago didn't list him for sale ;)

ok well i'll list him on Friday or Saturday so his salary doesn't need to be paid by you. Since it's too late for this week. Or if you think your next cup opponent is too difficult... i'll hold on to him til you have an easier opponent. You should probably draw a DV or bot team in week 2 or 3? Otherwise i'll wait til you're out of the cup i suppose...

Anyway, thought it might be against the rules about advertising TL players if he was already listed when i made that poll. i didn't want Jeremy Jackson's career to end in scandal.
