I really like how the Champions League has a Submit roster deadline. I really think that Buzzerbeater should do the same thing, it would make it much more competetive. You wouldn't have teams renting hours before the finals. Maybe have a submit cup roster before the Round of 32. That would mean any player bought after that couldn't play in the cup games but still could play in the league games. That would also mean that the last 5 rounds of the CUP would be Must See for sure.
Just a thought. It has always been very confusing to me, why would Buzzerbeater have a Deadline for the playoffs and not one for the Cup? Give me your thoughts...

Good idea but the sad side of it is that it would allow less surprises in the cup (last season we had a D.III team that reached the final in France).

Hmmm... Tenakha didn't buy any player during the whole season, so the deadline wouldn't have change a thing to his run in the Cup.

That's right but Tenakha is the GOAT! You can't put him in the same basket than other third division teams ;)

But all teams will be frozen after the deadline....so how is it not fair. 3rd div. 2nd div. and 1st div. would all be in the same boat.

I never said it wouldn't be fair, I just said it could take a part of surprise away from the cup.
But again, I do agree with your suggestion

Yeah, but it is always good to re-visit an idea if it is a good one. If they think a deadline for the cup is a bad idea, why have one for the playoffs? That is my point. It seems crazy that a team can rent a beast 16 minutes before the Final of a competition where the winner gets a BB3 ticket. So, I'll ask you this since they never said why it was rejected...Why was it rejected?

I don't know how it can we too hard too implement. There are only 3 different size Cups...small, medium and large. so that would be only 3 different deadlines...
