I'm looking forward to this season. As for my pick who would promote end of this season, i see 5 candidates:
Favorites:
Falco Gent:
they come from the BBBL, but had an old roster. Have gotten 500k back for selling off 5 players. I'm unsure what their cashreserves are, but i reckon that they are the smallest of all teams who went down.

Antwerp Angels
Well, i've still got the same team, and if we exclude Phoenix Suns massive buy-in end of the season, then i should have gone up. Anyhow, we'll see how things go. I've got a Plan A and i've put in motion a plan B in the event i wouldn't promote this season, so no pressure here. Still, i'd prefer to promote if i could :D

Tool Belgium
As per usual, Tool Belgium is a good team. He should be earning something so he should have some funds once the end of the season arrives, so he's got a decent shot at promotion, provided that he can get HCA.

SK Wabeke
Same team as last season. They rely on offense to win there games. This has as drawback that if the buckets ain't dropping, they could end up losing some games, but has as advantage that if the offense is running on all cylinders, then he could ruff up any opponent. He's unpredictable and a real nightmare to face. He doesn't need HCA to win games with his offense ( just check last season for proof of that)

TBS Wolves
An insane lvl of outside defense is his trademark to win games. He lead the league in steals last season and aswell as leading the league in having the least TO's per game. He'll earn extra possessions by forcing opponents to turn the ball over with his great outside defense. Opponents always need to make a choice between playing a high pace attack ( with the risk of having more TO's than normal) or playing a low pace attack, thus taking care of the ball more, but that means they'll have less shot opportunities... He's the exact opposit of SK Wabeke with his big defense.

outsiders
Beerschot Bears
Beerschot Bears has proven to be a force to be reckoned with, and could have an outside shot. A lot will depend on how they managed to seal up HCA and who his opponent will be, but in a certain scenario, BB could very well end up going up.

to those who have promoted, i welcome you in II.2 Best of luck and i wish everyone a lot of fun this season

ps: last season we had Sum in our division. This season, we got his girlfriend in our division. Let's pray that she doesn't have the same bank account as Sum had last season :P

Thanks Revo.
From my side, it will be very difficult this season as I need to sell one of my top players in order to get some money back (I'm deep in the red zone).
In addition, my 2 first matches are vs you and Falco...fans will not be happy.

Anyway, I will do my best.
Good season to all as well!

Good luck to everybody and welcome to all new teams.

Hope it will be an exciting season, Falco Gent sure looks like a solid candidate for the championship, if they can keep their team together that is. With the current rosters it will be a close one between Gent & Antwerp I think.

As for TBS Wolves: we will keep on training our young centers Chris & Khiz into dominant allround inside players.
We also got some cash from selling Jerinic at the end of last season, so if the right player comes along we might invest it again.

Looking forward to s22

i'm stunned. i was leading by 19 points end of Q3. and when i checked the replay, my team could have fauled in the final minutes of OT to force FT's... and they didn't even make a single faul in those final 24 seconds. couldn't believe it.

gratz to Armstrong.

@ Tool: best way to sell a C is to list him at 100k and see where he goes from there. but i gotta warn ya, nobody invests in pure C's anymore, i'm no exception to that rule. All my Bigs can play PF or defend PF's. Branas has no OD so that will hurt his market price big time... the new currentcy is Guards with IS ( and i've got plenty of those :P) and bigs with OD and JS.

@ Seb, nice summary as usual. and yay for the iron man :D

@ all others: don't expect me to go down 0-2. i'm bringing the big gunz tomorrow. and as i mentioned, Marichal is getting trained to a monster Guard. I'm pretty sure that nobody has a player who will be able to stop him. not sure there is anyone in the BBBBL who will be able to stop him. and J-J got some great XP out of previous game.

the biggest problem is that SK Wabeke and TBS Wolves have such a weak conference. That will mean that they'll likely take HCA. it puts a lot of pressure on teams like Falco, Tool or mine. We need to have 20-2 records if we want HCA. so that loss against Armstrongs means i'm gonna have to bring my A game for each game. got no rights to make any more mistakes...

enjoy having that #1 spot next to your teamname, cause by the end of the week, i've got the intension of having that #1 next to my teamname again ;)

Altho i've got a pretty tough away TV game against Beerschot Bears. It should be a good test. but i'm happy. Marichal is already progressing ^^. If he gets to play enough games this season, i wouldn't exclude the fact that i might finally have a MVP in my ranks! been chasing down that trophee for at least 10 seasons now...

i got the feeling i got screwed again in this game against Beerschot Bears. My top player in the best possible GS. he alone should be able to take over the game, yet he can't get anything to drop. extremely frustrating game. i know that Beerschot Bears is playing a zone. not sure which one it is tho.

anyhow, extremely frustrating game to watch and lost a TV game. my economics is taking the second hit in as many weeks... first the outragious loss against Armstrongs and now this. if the game engine doesn't shape up a bitt, i might as well forget promotion this season...

Ow well, time to eat some cookies ;)
