Yes I realize my arena is really small so I don't need to hear from you guys. But my question is, how big should my arena be for D.III?

All that info is available to you - check Div III teams in your country

only way to learn

minimum arena for D3

10,000 bleachers

2,000 lower tier

300 courtside

15 luxury

Ideal arena for D3

12,000 bleachers

2,500 lower tier

400 courtside

20 luxury

Okay sorry. I'm not going to look at all of the competetive teams' arenas and average them out. That would take a while. But thanks for the advice.

People ask this question all the time and I find it annoying. If you have a great salary efficient team and set prices well, you can do great with the minimum default arena. If you suck, no arena will be large enough to save you.

Really, larger is better. It's as simple as that.

If I had to guess I'd say the average is something like:

Edit: just to be clear I'm not confident in those estimates. Take 2 minutes to open some team pages and approximate it yourself.

Well you won't have to worry about it this season since I'll be promoting from our league but if it helps i did just fine (Made 65k a week) in D.III with the same arena size i have right now. Of course you will want to set your ticket prices higher but it is more important to have a good team, so that you can fill up your arena otherwise it doesn't matter how big your arena is (in my opinion).

Well I don't agree with you on this one,expanding your arena is the key to this game I think.
I promoted div2 this season,and since I won the final in 3,I did expand my arena with almost 3000 and now my arena has 14.500.And still I need to do expanding if you want 3 or 4 players with salary +50k,you can never pay those salaries with a arena lets say 9k,cause you're cashflow isn't high enough.
If you decide that you don't have to expand you're arena ,you will never reach DII.

I think this has the thought process on this nailed. There needs to be as much focus on making sure the ticket prices are adjusted intelligently as there is on the size of the arena, but the "larger is better" is probably the best answer. One addition I'd make is that piling on a ton of bleacher seats and neglecting the other sections can come back to bite a team once the promotion bonus wears off, especially if they manage to stick around but not thrive for a few seasons.

The only other thing I can add is that unless you're planning on never advancing past III, there needs to be some sort of plan toward getting an arena that's capable for II and then for I. That becomes harder the more remedial building you have to do to address an undersized arena - and extra money for arena building is easier to set aside the lower down you are in the league structure.
