I saw a similar forum today, and it got me thinking if I should rebuild. Now I have some good pieces, but as of right now, I don't have a big enough arena to sustain a championship squad. So I was wondering if I should sell players and spend that money on my arena. In the short term, this is very bad. But the long term, this could be very good. In a few seasons, with a huge arena, I could put together a great team with all of my money. Is this more trouble than it's worth? If I should do it, who should I keep? Should I just have a fire sale? Any advice is highly appreciated(:

First off, your game shape on your top players is a giant drain to your team. I would fix this first.
Besides that, I would sell your least salary efficient players and replace them with cheaper players that are more salary efficient. Then I would spend a season building your arena while making good weekly profits (minimize staff prices, aim for being a ~4th seed playoff team). Then the season after I would replace your worst rotation players with better players who are salary efficient and try to make a promotion run.

Alloy has hit it square with your GS.
Give each star player either a start and two bench duties, or two starts. Starts usually go about 32-38, backup+reserve usually covers the remaining 10-16. if you are out of the cup, there is no reason really to start your starters in those games.
