I was not really planning on promoting because I wanted to build my arena some more and train but I am 13-0 coming off a win against the other formerly undefeated team. I know my team is really not strong enough to compete a D.III, but if i get the chance to promote, should I? and attempt to continue training and building my arena up there? I guess as long as my team is good enough to place 5th up there. My concerns are that I will need new bigs in a couple of seasons. (actually at the end of the season I need to replace my pf).

At 13-0 it seems your team is definitely too good for that division! To be honest you can train next season and build your arena, and the additions of a bigger tv contract and the prospect of filling out more seats, there is no disadvantages to promote! If anything the added money you will receive in a division higher would speed up the process of building your arena.

Yeah and I just thought, if say while I am up their I can train my guards into decent D.II guards and then if I have to demote to train bigs that's perfectly fine with me because once I get them to were my guards are (only my 3rd season of training). I'll be right back up into D.III.

go up there and get that trophy!

your arena isn't all that bad and as said above the 300k you can easily use to upgrade that arena. So no matter what it's a win win if you promote.

You can try to get a beast PF before playoffs that way you can assure promotion.

hope this helps!

Promote.

Once you promote, continue building and working on your team as if you didn't promote. Don't try to revamp the roster. You will make a lot of cash, demote back down and be an instant contender again but having gained at least a million more than you would have otherwise.

I was in a similar situation last season where I didn't think I'd promote, but then after I beat the best team in the league I was undefeated (he was training his rookies, lucky for me). At that point I had clear sailing to the playoffs with an undefeated record so I was going to likely promote through bot cleanup, so you may promote regardless of whether you win the championship or not, so long as you remain undefeated. Promoting via championship is much better, though, as then you get the big attendance boost through the all star break.

Depending on the league you promote into, you will probably need to boost your roster a bit with a couple better players, but it's impossible to know until you get assigned your Div III league. Also, and this was a surprise, the league I promoted into had two teams go bot in my conference, which is unfortunate for the health of the league, but makes it easier to not get demoted. Of course, that isn't an occurrence you can plan for.

Long story short, promote if you can. Don't feel the need to compete with everyone's roster salary from the get go, as there will be teams with giant arena's who can afford the $250-$300K rosters. Best of luck.

That being said I have those three trainees with sensational OD. My C's isn't to old, hes only 30. But your concerns are my concerns about promoting this season.

And a lot of it ends up being what III you promote into. But it's definitely better to give it a try and get the revenue boost from the higher TV deal and promotion boost to attendance and then work on how you're going to establish your foothold and claw your way up to the next level.

I believe somewhere that there was an outline of promoting, demoting, and promoting again because of the 200k bonuses was slightly more profitable than never having done so.

I don't think it's entirely difficult to judge ones situation once they get to D.III and field a competitive team to the point where they can evade the relegation series.
