I have a decent sized stadium , hopefully i get some good draftees to train next season then il start my assault on climbing up the divisions , my question is how much money do i need to compete , do the guys that have been around for a long time have 2 or 3 millions saved away?

They have more than that. lol/ Im in V division have about 2 million, i update my arena all the time for about 1 million or so. I would suggest going hard in the draft and on the trade market to get good solid high skilled youth players.

It not really about how money you have its abotu having the right players and playing the right tactics.

hope that helps

Unlike what Mr Glass says, not all top teams have heaps of cash. It is entirely dependent on the success you're having at your level, and what your focus is... and which nation you're in.
If you want to know more information, ask those in the situation you're aiming for: have a look around at the best teams in Div III in England, see what size arenas they have, what their ticket prices are. Then BBmail a few of the more successful ones. Do the same for some Div II teams.
Within your own league, you can look at a heap of team information via buzzer-manager, or similar sites.

But what's true for me in Japan (a small nation), or for someone in the US (a very big nation), is not necessarily the case for you in England.

Around that time I had quite a bit, but I did have to pay out quite a bit for my two current trainees (the one that replaced Igorius was significantly better - but I got him cheaper, and the one that replaced my primary guy was similar, but from my own nation of Japan... and a lil' cheaper). Generally I have 1-2 million in the bank.

I try to have close to $0 in the bank unless I am saving up for a player to fill a specific need.

Money that's in the bank could always be doing more good if you invest it in the stadium or upgrade one of your players to be more salary efficient. The only exception is the teams that already have a max arena and the best roster that money can buy.

not always. here is one example:

I am currently waiting for my trainees to be reliable players (they are still trained out of position this season) until I'm going to promote to the next lvl. there is one demoted team in my league which I can only beat if I buy some one-dimensional-veteran players who dont help me much in divIII. I can not afford to buy a whole team of good players at the moment

If I buy good players now they just eat up salary because I win against all teams except this one anyway, so I try to stay close to the salary minimum and wait one more season for my trainees to be better and then I will invest in some good divIII lvl guards....meanwhile I make around 140k per week.

You are right, always was too strong. There are definitely exceptions involving teams waiting to make a run and/or teams dealing with a salary floor in an unbalanced league. Probably some other times too. But I think these situations are rare, and most of the time people think they are in these situations, they just don't know the exact right move (I might not either).

You might be in one of these situations, but your arena could still be bigger, and I'm not convinced you couldn't spend some cash replacing some players with more salary efficient ones to set yourself up for next season while getting better and staying close to the floor.

well having money on hand is better than having none at all.. I know like trainees and it build revenue, But i like to have mass cash on hands becuase not every trainee is going to work out, but you can out buy someones team with better players and beat them with the right tactics :).

Money wont get out right ahead but you even the odds somewhat . ometimes best way to beat a team is to make them spend. hahaha

If you're spending money on trainees that aren't "going to work out" then, just maybe, the cash-related solution to this problem is to not waste the money in the first place, rather than wasting it and then compounding it by spending more. The draft, obviously, is a crapshoot but there's no reason at all to buy someone who is a "trainee" if they're not suited for the position.
