I don't understand this player's transfer history (22047531).
It says that in season 18, he was purchased from the team he is currently playing for.

A look at this team's (30576)transfer history shows that this happened with another player as well. What do the gray numbers mean? Does it mean the players were put on the transfer list but never sold?

It means that the person that put the player on sale decided that he wanted him back and he won the bid. It's a strange thing that you don't see often.

The seller didn't receive the minimum bid price he was willing to get for him so he bid on the player himself.
He will pay tax.
(Example: you receive 90% of the sale of this player... the winning bid is $100,000... keeping the player costs $10,000 vs selling him for less than you desire)

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Don't they lose money on that, though?

Yes, but on the bright side, the player is also considered a new player so they'd get a lower percentage if they went ahead and re-listed him.

If you fired him, you can't. (If he was over a certain salary you could buy him back, but as a new team all your players will be below this amount)

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

You still have your original 18 players so that's a very odd question.
