Technically that should be the case because slower pace tends to mean less shots and less fouls so there is a lesser chance of injury, however i do not know if this is completely the case.

Injuries only occur on fouls. There is a chance on each possession for a foul. Less possessions = less fouls = less injuries. Some offences also seem to produce more fouls per possession like look inside.
These numbers are made up.
So if one team is running patient that generates typically 80 possessions a game with each possession having a 20% chance of resulting in a foul there will be 16 fouls per game. If each foul has a 1% chance of an injury it will take several games for an injury.
If another team is rinning look inside generating 100 possessions a game with each possession having a 33% chance of resulting in a foul there will be 33 fouls pergame and an injury every three games on average.

i have observed many times when i run patient (which is a slow paced offense) the player using all the shots get injured. but that is the same logic as the answers above, in patient the go-to player gets fouled a lot and has more chance to get injured.

If only you could throw the ball out of bounds on every possession. No one would ever get hurt!

Unless the other team catches on and starts fouling on the inbound passes.

Have you been talking to my backup PF?
Sometimes it appears that he is using that strategy.
Leads my league in TO's per minute played.
