One of my trainees fouled out with 2 minutes left so i would like to know if he will still train

yes he will get about 81% of the 'normal' training effect.

Agreed, but the dropoff of 48+ to 48, to 47, 46 and 45 are a bit too much IMO. Couldn't they all be somewhere around 85-93 percent?
