Hahaha...no.

They need to fix their algorithms. The best U-20 PF in the country only getting 1 5th place vote is LOL-terrible. But, I mean, an average player winning due to inflated minutes and ignoring his atrocious defensive effort...yikes

Even if they're purposely trying to overvalue scoring, Bocquet and Zuriarrain from Earthworms and Morris from Shake-N-Bake are all way better choices.

My ballot:
1-Rob Morris, SG, Shake-N-Bake
Best scorer in the league, and really efficient for a guard. Might get criticized for not coming through in big games, though.

2-Prince Peter Savimbi, C, Wooster Titans
Tenacious defender and monster on the boards. Certainly wasn't a liability offensively, but he also wasn't heavily featured. Probably more of a Defensive MVP.

3-Nicolas Zuriarrain, SF, The Earthworms
Arguably the best player on the Great 8 champs, strong all around numbers, big reason for them winning 21 games. Probably turns the ball over more than he should at his age.

4-Josh Gannon, SF, Wooster Titans
Veteran leader and primary offensive weapon on an undefeated team. Also, probably the best perimeter defender in the league.

5-Eddie Baker, PF, Killer Badgers
Several options for this spot, just wanted to give a nod to a very strong season from a young player. Needs to improve decision making and defense, but he should have a bright future.

Honorable Mentions:
Rupert Berenguer, PF, The Earthworms
Pascal Blanchette, PG, Wooster Titans
Nicolas Sanchez, PF, Washington Red Dragons

I'm confused by the game's choice as well, I thought Morris was the obvious MVP. He represented 30% of his team's scoring. Sanchez has the rebounding advantage by a long shot, but in terms of offense he is surrounded by at least a couple pretty good scorers and is therefore much more replaceable on that end.

This is a good pick actually... I still keep up with this division and the stats of the top 3 are

Nicolas Sanchez - 22PPG, 13.9RPG, 4.5APG, 1.4BPG, 56% FG, 20% 3PT. and as a PF only 1.9 TO/G
#2 in Points, #2 in Rebounds, #9 in APG.

Nicolás Zuriarrain - 20PPG, 6.6RPG, 1.1SPG, 1.7BPG, 2.4APG, 50%FG, 39% 3PT.
(Not as effective in scoring, 6% FG difference. Not as many points, or assists, or rebounds.)

Rob Morris - 28PPG,48%FG, 27% 3PT, 4.2RPG also averaging 1BPG/SPG
These are not MVP type stats.. He showed he could score, but that was really about all his MVP stats go.

Prince Peter Savimbi does belong where he is at as if you look at his stats 9RPG, 7.7PPG... Not much going for him.

I see what you're saying, I just disagree :-/

A lot of the players on the better teams had severely deflated numbers, since the difference between the top of the league and everyone else was so huge. For the top 3 teams, a lot of games were in garbage time by the mid-3rd quarter, meaning starters played a lot less than for the middle of the pack teams.

I'm going off of per minute numbers and team success, which I think is better for picking value. Just my opinion.

Looks like the Killer Ducks are being relegated back to Div 5. I wonder if they will be put back into this league or not. To Killer Ducks credit... His Div 4 league is as strong as most Div 3 leagues. So, The Snackers and I were very lucky that we did not end up in such a strong div 4 league comparable to his. Even though our leagues are strong.

I hope the Titans and the Earthworms have the same luck and do not end up in the Killer Ducks league. That would be horrible lol.. evil grin hahaha

Titans, I am sure you will be making some roster changes to compete. With your stadium I can' t see why you will not even try to make your team better. The Snackers and I however, had to spend our money to upgrade our stadiums and after that, players. That set me back for the season since I had to get rid of all of my players except Conde and Dim. Needed to do that so I can have a younger team with better OD and ID...

Hhhaah,on the bright side, at least I was able to lead a league two years in a row in total points scored.

And I hope Shake and Bake wins the league next season. He is due for a win. I am rooting for you man.

Snackers... I think your team should make some more roster changes. Are you?

MVP voting means very little to me right now. It's good to have it around to recognize the best players in the league and give their due, but in the grand scheme of things having a capable team of men is more fulfilling than one break-out star scoring over 25 for you every night. Sure, RED DRAGONS might have the MVP (and good for him on winning that), but it sure didn't help prevent me sweeping his tush out the door. I can't wait for next season--finally have a chance to compete seriously and battle for promotion.

Are you upgrading your team for next season Bloom? Or staying pat with the current roster?

Gannon is injured for the rest of the final games. Looks like he got hurt in the game early, but it did not hurt the Titans at all.

Should be interesting to see if the Earthworms can win a game now with the Titans best offensive and defensive perimeter player out.

I predict the Earthworms win the next game 89-81. With the Titans winning in the third in overtime 103-100 for the Sunday game.
