The last time Arizona lost a meaningful game at home was June 19th, 2012, Season 20, at the hands of World Idea Toys. However, both teams are very different now. Typically, Defense and Home Court Advantage are the two biggest factors in winning games in BB. On both accounts, the advantage goes to Arizona. World Idea Toys has a prolific scoring offense, and when they are hitting three pointers, they are nearly unbeatable.

Hitting 3 pointers is going to be a tall task against the #1 defense in the league. World Idea Toys is the leagues best 3 point shooting team with the next best not even in the neighborhood. Toys hits a staggering 34.2% of their three point attempts (Mike D'Antoni would be proud), but the Desert Swarm defense only gives up 13.1% shooting on their opponents 3 pointer attempts. All of that said, Toys just blistered the leagues #2 defense hitting 36% of their 3 point attempts in the Conference Championship in their big win over USA Elite.

These two teams squared off midseason at Arizona; the Desert Storm controlled the game from beginning winning 100-78. Was that game a fluke? Or can Toys make adjustments to overcome the 22 point difference that game had? This game is a terrific contrast in styles with the winner of the series moving on to the NBBA. This is the only USA D2 league in which the two finalists have never been in the NBBA before.

Wow, my boys showed up tonight! I guessed right believing Toys had to PON tonight, so I did the same...glad I did. I figured this was a 3 game series...but all of a sudden, this feels winnable in two.

The first half was strange with Toys getting all the favorable matchups against my zone...but that totally changed in the 2nd half. I think their starters outscoring my backups in the 4th by just a point is pretty telling. Game two should be interesting.

Only in BuzzerBeater!! I went into my game last night ranked 24th in the country, facing a team ranked ahead of me, #18....I won the game, and moved up a single spot...the team who is ranked higher, was rewarded for losing to a lower ranked team by moving up 2 spots in the polls to #16!! That makes sense :-)

Perhaps I should consider throwing Game 2 so I can move up in the rankings! lol

LOL, you are funny!! Wasn't trying to diss Toys at all!! Although, now that I think of it...has anyone actually spoken to the owner of Toys? I don't recall him posting in our league forums or talking to anyone...maybe he doesnt bleed blood, maybe he never even gets thristy ;)

I wouldn't be that upset, although if given the choice of playing 2 or 1 league games against one of these teams, I guess it makes sense to pull for my neighbor.

Gee Wally, that was sure swell to get a win like that last night.... I sure hope we can do it again in game 2.
