well no surprise as i havent played for something like 10+ seasons, but have just about kept my team active, squandering incredible dfraft picks the whole way through.
this is a pretty well made game with one important downside versus say... hattrick or battrick or whatever.
in those games, you can be relatively lazy, and log on once a week and do pretty well (there's obviously some small edge to being on every day, scouring the markets etc).
here, thats nearly impossible. with training being so critical to get your players 48 minutes (and not 47!) and really not much more than 60, you have to watch each game closely. its 3 logons a week, 3 different lineups a week, and so on. it makes the game too much of a commitment to be semi competent.
and with that, i'm out. i didnt hit all of my goals, but real life is throwing alot more at me lately (Mostly good things, not always, but Ice Storm could verify a few of them for sure).
good luck to my friends in this game, and to the haters, haters gonna hate. i had fun all the way, even making spreadsheets to try and figure out which strategies would be the best and meta-simulators complete with standard deviation calculations of expected score).
i dont know what total membership has done, but i worry about the future of the game, which is a shame because it does deserve a future somehow.
there's alot more to say, and i'm sure there will be some potshots in passing, so if you're funny enough or heckle well enough, i might even give you the pleasure of firing back.
it's been real.
